i just got 65 drg and wheeling thrust(which owns) and i was just thinkin about my maat fight w/ dg new 2hr and everything... but im not gunna quit game if i cant win but idk how i should go about my strategy, ne tips?

What equipment,meds,and other thing do i need to defeat maat?
right now im a 66 war. any pointers?

As you all kno the Maat fight means no subjob abilites. The best way imo is to play ur jobs strengths, dont try and do something with it that it is not meant to do. Dont try and tank if ur not a tanking job. Let potions heal you if you do take damage.

My stratgey as a DD is pretty common. You will need a Vile Elixir, Vile Elixir +1, Opo-opo Necklace, Blink Band, at least 6 Sleeping potions, Icarus Wing, food, and some sorta au'lait.

First buff up. Sleep ur self to 100% TP w/opo-opo necklace, use the blink band, and eat ur food. I used a Bison Steak because i wanted to do max damage and accuracy wasn't a problem (Maat is only an Even Match)

Then go in and start off w/ a high damage WS. Use the Icarus Wing to get another 100% TP and WS him again. Then fight it out w/using hi-potions here and there and the Vile Elixir's for alot of HP regained.

When using items it is best to make macros for them so ur not scrolling down an item list trying to find them.

Ex:
/item "Icarus Wing" <me>

Wil, I dont kno too much about WAR but if ur 2hr stacks w/ WS's then u might wanna start off w/same idea but then use all ur abitlies including Mighty Strikes for the first 2 WS's (Rampage w/all critical hits has got to be some nasty damage)

If you havent done ZM5 yet, you can get a free Opo-opo necklace. After you beat the NM's from the cermet headstone in Yhoator Jungle, u can trade an item (cant remember what) to it and get it.

What tipped the scales for me was going in over prepared. The 1 st time I was over confident and only took the items someone had posted on AK as "all you really need". Apparently I needed more.
