SCNMs - Sat, May 9th @ 5pm CST

We've been doing a lot of Beastmen Raids and now have a few pop sets completed so I'm scheduling a SCNMs Run for Sat, May 9th @ 5pm CST so we can try some new fights and get some new loot. Gather together in La Vaule (S).

We have 2 complete pop sets and 7/8th a 3rd so we may need to kill 1 NM before our fights. Should we finish early we may do another partial Beastmen Raid.

There is a video on the wiki page, I recommend anyone attending to watch it, this will nto be a very easy fight the first go around.

These are wiki strategy notes:

Full partyWent in with 18, consisting of 3 ninjas, 1 pld, 3 bards? a blm party and various dd's (2 drk's rng etc)

Started off by having the paladin hold the Boss, 2 of the ninjas taking the Rangers off and holding them while we fight (double march for shadows, as they follow regular RNG abilities), with one ninja tanking as we killed the two donzels (assisted by the black mages).

Once the Donzels were down, we did SC light > nuke (if it hit, flash effect posed some problems) and the black mages nuked. Aura went down a few seconds after invincible went up (at about 70%), in which everyone available would go in.

once the Boss went down (title received at this point) we went to kill the rangers, easily winning with about 15 minutes to spare. You must kill all mobs to win.

so, BLM heavy, 4 tanks, some DD.

In all honesty it's a waste of resources to hold the 2 rng adds. Just kill the warx2, then the rngx2, and then nuke + ranged attack down the boss till aura drops, and zerg him when it drops. The added damage the boss does when you kill all 4 is still manageable especially with a full 18. Waku 12:20, December 23 2008

Nessy and myself Might not be able to make this. Being mothers-day weekend, this was the day she picked to have her dinner, dont know exactly when we will become available, but chances are we both will have to miss this one.

Nice work today on our first attempt at this SCNM. We won our first run, but didn't have enough people and had some bad luck on 2nd run. Also managed to kill a few NMs for key items.

Next time we'll know exactly what to do and should be able to get every win. Grats to Icestorm and Mnementh on their drops!
