I hope everyone had a good Turkey day! Get all that good food in before the upcoming LS events and new expansion so you have some reserves to burn off while playing non stop ^^. My thanksgiving weekend was almost bad because my TV died ><... but luckily black friday meant lots of good sales going on so I snagged myself a 46" 1080p HDTV that is so damn sexy... well lets just say its sexy.
Being away from ffxi is bad for me because I keep spending money on other things when I would normally be content with ffxi... like buying a PS3, and more games for all my consoles. Anyone with a Wii should check out Metal Slug Anthology - 7 MS games for the price of one! I finally also snagged Bioshock for the 360 which, on my new tv, looks f'ing crazy. Not too mention it's one of the best FPS i've ever played. Anywho... i'll be broke before I ever get back online it seems... cheers!

Which PS3 games you got Raiz? I recently bought Need For Speed: ProStreet and Assassin's Creed. I haven't played any AC yet, I want to finish up NFS first, because once I start AC I doubt I will stop.
Sadly, NFS requires that you do some "drift" racing, which is like pulling teeth to me.
I am still debating whether or not I need to buy The Orange Box when it comes out for PS3. Portal is supposed to be awesome, and Team Fortress 2 looks slick, but I don't think I'd be very into the Half Lifes (Half Lives?).
My PSN is Valhallodin...I think. I don't really use it much, but look me up some time, maybe we can throw down some RFOM or something.

Right now i have Motorstorm (came prebundled when i bought the system but is actually fun) and Heavenly Sword which was short but sweet, very stylish. I was going to buy Assassin's Creed but after reading the reports in EGM I decided to wait until it was reviewed before dropping 60 bones on a pretty but potentially not so fun game. You'll have to let me know how it is. I pretty much bought the PS3 because my PS2 died and I was going to get one eventually anyways... forced my hand so to speak. I'm debating the Orange Box myself. Half Life 2 is a classic, very cool FPS, I recommend it (I have it on the original xbox). The two expansions are supposed to be short but sweet doses of more of the same and some new tricks, Portal is supposed to be a pretty kick ass puzzle game and Team Fortress 2 is being hailed as one of the best multiplayer games ever. Sadly as I have no internet connection I probably will skip this package but seriously all that gaming for the price of one game is stupid good. I feel you on the drift racing although I can handle it in small doses... And alas I don't have RFOM but even if I did, I can't get online to hand you your ass instead i'll just keep whining from work and fantasizing about playing online again...

Just picked up Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for the PS3, its like an Indiana Jones movie meets Prince of Persia with gunplay from kill.switch (the oft forgotten game that pretty much started the duck and cover/blind firing mechanics that everyone seems to think Gears of War started). Fun game so far... although spending 60 bucks sucks... 12.95 + 4 mules a month is so much easier on the wallet.

Drake's Fortune looked pretty cool, but I don't anticipate buying it because, well, I don't need it. NFS and AC will keep me busy for a while, I think. I bought Assassin's Creed almost purely on the recommendation of the guys at Penny Arcade. I am yet to be disappointed by one of their suggestions, and since I already thought the game looked intriguing, Gabe's glowing review of it sold me. Of course, I still have to finish off NFS, and since I am currently mired on the road to becoming "Drift King" I am getting closer and closer to becoming "Thrown Controller Through $2400 Television King".
Let me know when you finally get internet up and running. I mean seriously, I knew you moved, but I didn't know you could move back to the 1980s.

Thanks for that Profound and deeply moving sentimen, I miss you too Mesh XD, seriously, in a purely platonic fashion ^.~
I personally base most of my buying decisions from Electronic Gaming Monthly. I have yet to find fault with their 3 person, mostly unbiased review process. Uncharted turned out to be so much fun I couldn't stop playing it until I beat it lol... well there's always hard mode.
....and as for moving back into the 1980's... well the 80's were making a comeback for awhile anyways, it still is... I moved out to a farm house in the middle of a bunch of... well ... .... farms and cornfields and shit. It's Dial Up or nothing cause Satellite costs more money than a classy hooker, and personally I think i;d rather have the .... o wait hehe. i'll have to go to my mom's house and post the pics sometime.

So i decided to say screw it and pay for everything up front with satellite and then make my roommates pay if they wanted to use it when I found out about lame 12 month minimum service contracts and Fair Access Policies which blow. IDK if FFXI would cause me to go over the usage alotment but between myself and my roommates i'm sure we would... i'll see you all in late 2008 i suppose...

maybe it's because i quit smoking.... I need something to fill in the gap... ffxi withdrawal is getting pretty extreme. I have decided to do the previously unthinkable and possibly a) buy ffxi and install all expansions for PC on my laptop b) go to my mom's house for event times only and any exping I need to do stay @75 (and or get back to 75 blm, i'm looking at you C!) and basically poach her wireless DSL. c) i'm sure if I do the dishwasher she'll let me slide
Anyways I just want to try to get back for the HANMLS events to help out... okok and to chum it up with all you slackers

My friend Luke just got the game so if he gets all his downloads done in time i'm going to go over to his house and set him up on Caitsith server if possible. He plays WOW as well so he's versed in MMO's but a noob to FFXI. Anyways if I can i'm going to guest log onto my account while i'm there so I might pop in to say hi, and then hook him up with some stuff to get his character rolling. If I do get him to Caitsith, if a sackholder can please hook him up with a pearl i'll post here with his name and what not.

SE made it so you can choose your server now without a world pass, so it takes next to nothing to get him to Caitsith.
