so the day I installed WotG, my xbox started act'n up.. today, it broke. I was w/ Gai and Rast and I checked the files which were fine, so I restarted it and well.. it didn't start back up. I'm gunna try to get it fixed, but until then, I'm out of commision. @_@; I'll figure it out.

hey everyone its me lol first things first it dosnt drop files it only drop if u tell it too.secondly THE RED RING OF DEATH indercates death of consoul 3rd.SE didnt mess up might be the 360 overheating it dose that.4th I'v also had proplems with my 360 and im on my 3rd one and now that one keep freezing up on me.5th If u get 3 red lights meen I think thats overheating if its not that TOASTY it might be ur harddrive.u might wona take it to the store u got it from and have em take a look at it.also jst one question dose it do it on any other games?

it's not my xbox overheating because I installed an additional fan and I don't play for long intervals of time anymore.. it probably -is- the hard drive because the color problems occured with other games.. now there's no visual -or- sound.. so I've no idea.. I'm trying to get someone's a/v cord so I can try it out to make sure it's not my cord.. but otherwise, I'm pretty sure it's the console. I don't even know how to get it looked at.

Like what sellsword ring up microshaft has he called it lol or take it to a computer store and if it happens with other games then yeah its ur 360 but if it was ur 360 it should come up with 4 RED LIGHTS OF DEATH lol but ither way it might be ur harddrive if so ur probalby be the first person that had proplems with there harddrive cuz when i went to take mine back i asked if its my harddrive but they said not a chance.so yeah like sellsword surgested ither phone up microsoft or go to the store were u got it from and get it exchange and if its not ur harddrive keep it.anther thing u could do is take ur harddrive out and test it on anther 360 then u will knw whats up with it.

yep there's a little button u jst have to press it in and slide it out. Its abit of a sod tho sometime's, but yeah u can take the harddrive out so i recomend trying ur harddrive on anther 360 first cuz it might be the harddrive, but like i said no promisses that it will be the harddrive. Aperently when i asked if it was mine when i had proplems they said not a chance but worth a try so yeah try that out if its not that then its ur consoul.good luck with fixing it mate.

Microsoft extended a free 3 year warranty on all 360 consoles due to the high failure rate didn't they?
Personally my 360 occasionally reads a disc error, but all I have to do is turn off / turn on the console and it reboots fine.
Toast definately try someone elses cord just to be sure although I highly doubt that;s the cause. Like Dentay said you can press a release button on the side of the console to take out the HDD. It's very simple and easy to put back in. Doing so will do a complete system reset on your 360. There will be no data loss but it is different than simply powering the console down. My recommendation is to turn the power off, make sure the controller power is off as well, disconnect the A/V and Power Supply from the console, remove the hard drive, then reconnect first the HD, then the power and A/V cords then power on the system.
I had to do everything in that order after I made the move to the new house, somehow the system got scrambled in the move and I thought it was dead until I did that.

To shut down Val quickly (i must i must) when I bought my PS3 it was defective, but I was able to exchange it for a working one with no hassle and it works fine, so maybe it was an isolated incident of someone dropping it and saying oops its still good...

toasty that fan is actually bad for your system .. i worked at gamestop and people had tons of problems with them and i was told by many ppl that the fan actually sucks up more energy and causes it to get hotter and doesnt cool it.. it curculates hot air... fyi
