I just recently got the game on the PC, and i want to get all the benefits from it and do some of the cool things that ive seen you guys do. So if you guys can point me in the right direction... Questions that I have.
How can I play more than 1 character at time on the screen. (I remeber krimzon having KAolas and himself on the screen at the same time) How can I get it to show the percent left of mobs. (I saw a post that Yikrenz made with a shadow counter and a map on the screen) If i think of anything else ill post...

You need 2 copies of the game and 2 stations (PC, PS2, XBox360) and run 1 copy on each. This requires the non-official windower ( afaik this is the link) and certain plug-ins.

Me and krim play each others char at the same time alot, I sometimes have 3 FFXI windows going on the same computer. Here is the deal. POL: Add each login to the pol viewer, standard stuff. Windower: www.windower.net - Download the latest version, it generaly comes pre-packed with plug-ins, you can also look for the "Windower-Lite" which is just windower with no plug-ins If you get the basic windower download, it comes with several plug-ins that will be autoloaded when you start the game up, These include TP of everyone in your party, as well as everyone in your alliance. Also allowing you to see the mp of everone in your alliance. Another neat plug-in is Light luggage, this will auto-sort everything that drops into your inventory, great for clearing crystals in your inventory up while meriting! Playing more than one char at the same time: -Simply click the shortcut you get from downloading the windower, (Follow the instructions on the site) and this will open the game as if you were normaly doing it. Sign on to one pol account, log on the char, ect. Minimize the char logged in, simply click on the windower shortcut again to load up pol, this time log in the other account, log in the char, ect. . Both chars are now on at the same time. Simply Alt+Tab to switch windows. Misc Windower setup: -When you download and install the windower, inside the folder you extract the files to, there will be a folder named "Scripts" in this folder you will see a text file named "Init" open this up, and look for where it says "Game_Gamma xx" xx being a number, I find 68 to generaly be a good settting. This just makes it so the game isn't so dark. Also F-11 will increase the lighting of the game if you find it too dark. Also if you wish to change the resolutions of your window, In the main folder you extracted all the files to, Look for a file named "Launcher" open that up and you will see "X/Y-resolution = xxx" this is where you can change resolution.
