KS30

Well I'm thinking of doing a KS30 run sometime this week. I want to do Double Dragonia which requires the Clotho Orb. Drops are mainly for weapons (Subduer, Dissector, Destroyers, Heart Snatcher, ect...) but we can sell other items for profit (D. Ingot, D. Cloth, ect...).

This fight is 2 NM dragons. One is a BRD and the other is a WAR, each has a 2 hr. They are sleepable. I would like a tank, either 2 rdms or a rdm and whm or smn, and 3 DD. Main strategy would be to keep the BRD slept and kited while the WAR is killed. After the WAR is down we move on to the BRD which will be an easier kill. Hard part is the AoE attack Body Slam. There is another move which gives curse status to tank which has to be removed and HP needs to be restored quickly. Otherwise this battle is not too bad.

I am thinkin maybe to do this on Tuesday and/or Friday at 7:00-7:30 EST (starting time) depending on how many we can get in due to time limitations. This is uncapped so to be sucsessful I would like jobs to be 70+, preferably 73+. Please post up or /tell me in game if you are intersted w/ job and time best for you

I would like to help with this as well, if possible. If there are other DD able to go that will fill the position better, I understand that as well.

But if there is a spot for me, I would be happy to help. I should be able to make it on Tuesday without too much issue, barring something monumentally bad coming up. Keep me posted.

I was able to find out more specific information about each dragon. The WAR (Berzerker) dragon only has Body Slam. The BRD (Minstrel) dragon only has the curse that halfs total HP. One dragon only has one of those abilities.

Yes, I would like to try this again friday at 8:30 PM EST.
After our first trial run/wipe we found out some useful info. Apparently Body Slam can be absorbed by shadows. So as our first change to our strategy I would like all melee DD to come /nin to reduce healing costs.
Seocondly, I think mesh should only enter the arena to sleep the brd then have him pull the war down to us on the hill. Fight on hill so mesh can keep an eye on brd while also being able to help heal Stil.
Thirdly, this pertains to ik, are you still intersted in going? If not I will look for another person to go so we are not delayed again.
If anyone has suggestions PLEASE post them up so we get this down. Thanks

I got Destroyers, Sic got Dissector and Silver got Heart Snatcher. We went 3/6, 2 of the failures on darksday (note: don't do it on darksday) We also got a few other items to sell off. All in all, I had alot of fun doing, even with the deaths. I'll trade 2k xp for Destroyers anyday. Thanks Valhallodin, Sicarius, Mnementh, Silverwolf and Nessus.

On the whole, I was very pleased with our 3/6 performance. Especially considering that 1 of the 3 we didn't win was our first attempt, and 2 of the 3 we didn't win took place on a Darksday (which I believe had a very significant impact on our chances of success). It was imperative that all the melee characters subbed Ninja in order to use Utsusemi to absorb the Heavy Drop damage and resulting paralysis. Also, someone with good Stun timing (aka Sic) helped a lot too.

We managed to get 3 of the rare/ex weapon drops (Heartsnatcher for Silverwolf, Destroyers for Stilgar, and Dissector for Sicarius), and I am sure that next time we will come up with Subduers.

The other drops from the wins were not particularly profitable. The only really noteworth drops were an Orichalcum Ingot (400k or so), and a Minuet Earring (140k or so), but these are really about the weapons, so we were pleased for the most part (except we really wanted to snag a Subduer or two as well).

The key was the solid sleep provided by Mnem, the stellar tanking of Stil, the timely stunning of Sic, quality keeping-people-alive by Nessus and the ultimate smackdown Silver laid down at the end of the last fight when it looked like we were about to go down again. Everyone definitely earned their stripes and had a lot of fun.

Definitely gonna have to do this more in the future. Great job everyone and congratulations on the sweet loot!

Had a lot of fun on this guys. Just some tips for if you do this again:

After one of the Dragons gets below 25 percent, You have about 5-7 good sleeps in on both before they resist like mad. ES + Sleep will still work, they can both be slept, bind and Gravity stick on both just fine.

The Brd cannot be silenced

Voidsong (Dispelga. All Buffs, even food) Sucks really bad.

That was a blast last night!! Great job to all last night ;D We all worked very well together and we did an awesome job on this. Stil did a great job tanking, mne kept that brd asleep easy, ness kept as all alive excellent, val kept a great DoT on the mobs, and silver just put it into overdrive at the last fight w/that amazing performace once stil went down.

Congrats to those who recieved weapons. Money drops were kinda crap but meh... still was fun. I would like to do more in the future, but im not sure when yet. Thank you all for coming, overall A+ job!!
