Yesterday I realized how tired I was going through many hours of killing things only to get EXP. Doing the same motions over and over and over and over...and over. I started to not care if Refresh wore off, or if the mob was casting Burst, etc. I also realized how weak I was as a RDM.
I want to do something new and fresh. So yesterday (Sunday for me) I quit FFXI. 'Why?' you might ask? Because people are stupid and get on my nerves. So many people bugging me. I even got invites when I was /anon! Plus I just got tired of the daily chores.
I want somthing more fulfilling so i will probably play Everquest 2 and Lineage 2. I have deleted my character and cancelled my Content ID so lvl 69 RDM Stargasior is no more. I will miss the many friends I made(some of them turned stupid) and my red hat...

Damn! You were one of the staples. Here I thought you'd be a 75 RDM willing to solo many of the NM's I'd have to fight in my MNK career. Well, I will give you kudos and wish you best of luck in actually having a life, unlike some of the rest of us.
Thanks for being there when we needed you and sorry we could not always be there when you needed us. Good luck in your endevors and hope everything works out for the best.

There is a "Red Hat" in my FFXI memory ......
- First time I met the "Red Hat" in the gate of Northern Sandy. He said "there are many many things in FF world and I am still learning it everyday."
- The "Red Hat", Lok and I fought for a skull for our LS fellow. He said "I am so lucky. Every time I can get the skull in first kill."
- I met him in Kazham without "Red Hat" at that time but a Seer Tunic. He said "I am upgrading my sub job - Black Magic."
- I saw the "Red Hat" in Jeuno and he showed me the funny fireworks. We didn't say anything but laughing happily together. (Somehow that is my last time to meet the "Red Hat".)
......
From now on, I will never be able to meet the nice and funny "Red Hat" in Vana' diel anymore, except in my memory.
The "Red Hat"! I will miss you. Wishing you all the best.

I have to echo the sentiments of those that posted before me. Star, you have been a truly great member of the LS, regardless of what era it was in. You did an admirable job of putting up with being the most capable on the shell, and being willing to go out of your way to help those who had no chance of returning the favor. I hope your new games treat you well. I am sure the people that play them will be happy to have you. Good luck in those, and everything else you do!  |

Stargasior, I was completely shocked when I read your post. I am sad to see you leave the game. I thought for sure that I would catch up to you and then we would level together. I will miss you and your friendly tells. I really wish you did not delete your character because you could always feel differently in a month or so from now. I've had so many friends leave this game, but three have already come back after some time away. One had even sold his character. He has been back for a little over a month now and already has his new character to 54! So maybe, just maybe, you would come back too.  |

Star, it was great to meet you and I am glad I did. Though I am saddened to read this, I wish you the best of luck through life and the rest of your gaming. Who knows maybe someday I will start Everquest and we can meet again.

Whoa.. really sad to see you go Star. you were the first high level help I ever got, we did the whole airship quest back to back. you were relentless in your seach for them keys lol.... anyhow take it easy man. Well I reached lvl 10 Crusader and realized EQ sucks and I'm just tired of playing MMORPG's zzzz. I think ill start some college courses or something.

College courses? Bah! Here I'm finally starting to get to the point where I might start to enjoy playing FFXI. I finally realized a bit about farming the other day and may start making it a stead habbit of mine. I also managed to find several items that I've a good chance of HQ'ing 50% and making a good deal of gil from doing so.

Well Star, I am sorry to hear that EQ hasn't been all that you had hoped for. I hope that if you do enroll in some classes, you like them more than I like mine! Of course, you could also start back up in FFXI again, and then you could have the chance to make us help you out instead of the other way around! |
