Just Laughable

I was unsure as to where to put this, so here will have to do. Please add your experiences from "great" parties you have had. I find them jus so interesting. Best humor in the game.

Well I have been leveling my Samurai sub lately in Kazham and have found most of the parties just hilarious. For example I was in this one party that was so bad I had to stay in it just to see what they would do next. While most would try and kindly inform them of what they were doing wrong, I found it most enjoyable to watch them scramble and learn on their own. For instance our party was made up of 2 BLM, RDM melee, WAR, MNK, and my self Samurai. The first thing I notice is gear but who doesn't, mostly bits and pieces of Lizzy armor (we were all level 28). Now gear does not really bother me its very hard to make money in this game so its understandable. So what was so funny, ok here is a list. LOL ><

1. Highest sub-job level 6 (after me of course my sub is maxed)

2. RDM sub job = MNK, is this bad it seems bad to me?

3. The WAR would provoke once and that’s it.

4. The mages would go crazy and nuke like mad and wonder why they were getting agro.

5. The RDM would sit there in between pulls and use up all his MP, when I inquired he said “ I am raising my magic skill levels” my reply “oh ok, are you sure you don’t need any magic for the fight?” his reply “no I use my sword.” Ok works for me have at’er kid.

6. The MNK was pulling by running up and punching the mob, when I offered to pull with my ranged I was promptly denied.

7. The MNK would pull non stop, even when we had half HP, and little or none MP.

8. The BLM’s did not heal because they spent all there MP on nuking the hell out of the mob.

9. When the mages did heal they healed them selves due to the hate they were gathering.

10. WAR dies.

11. MNK still pulls after WAR is dead.

12. Now all of us are in red for HP and I am near death from tanking.

13. MNK still pulls, lucky for me she pulled a Goblin and it killed her about 5 steps after she punched it. Oh even she was in the red for HP.

14. When I asked if they think we should rest? They came back with a pleasant answer. “Why we have been doing this all day and getting 70-100 xp and gained 1 level, why would we stop? We want to level fast.” Whe I asked nicely what they meant by all day? They had been there for 5 lol 5 hours!

15. Well both people got raised, MNK and WAR. And are both still weakend.

16. MNK still pulls.

17. Again with the goblin. Again she prombltly dies. Then procedes to complain we should of came out to rescue her.

18. By now I am laughing so hard that I have coffee coming out my nose! Kinda burned.

19. So MNK gets raise all are rested.

20. RDM starts going through every spell he can, raising his “magic skill”. Good on ya kid, raise that skill.

21. MNK still pulls even though she is weakend.

22. MNK actually makes it back to camp has 12 HP left, I am impressed.

23. WAR vokes and pulls it (Mandragora) towards the mages, snicker….snicker.

24. Mandragora uses sleep, every one looked tired any way. I think they all needed a nap.

25. Mandragora kills WAR, and is just about to finish off RDM who is “using his sword” because he used his MP raising his magic skill. Now I have nothing against RDM’s meleeing but you have to be smart about it.

26. I awake and promptly provoke. RDM alive for now. So mandragora is near death and so are we.

27. MNK disengages and yep LOL decides to scout for the next mob.

28. Mandragora uses sleep. Mandragora kills RDM. I awake kill mandy.

29. MNK still pulls. And is quickly defeated on her way back.

30. WAR finally has a turn of the crank in his head and says he has to go and that he had died 6 times and was close to deleveling now. Wise move on his part. I as well have seen enough and say I have to go.

Now things may have been different had I of died. But honestly this party was so hilarious I could not believe it. I mean how the hell do you make it to level 28 playing like this? Not only make it to level 28, how the hell did you get Kazham keys? Any way just thought I would share this with you guys. Maybe give you a chuckle. Oh by the way I was very careful not to get my self killed in this party. Kinda bad on my part, but better they learn on their own than me dieing and going ballistic on them. Now I am not trying to b "a know it all ass", its just come on this was soo funny I had to share. We have all had these parties so please share. Just leave out names, unless they are totally horrible like blacktigers or mousefairy.

Thats is soo funny and soo fooked up at the same time. Your story surpases any bad experience I have ever had. RDM lvl his magic skill by using all his mp(fooktard), subbing MNK(dipshit). In order to be a good RDM you need to know that you mush save MP for emergencies and enfeebling. If you can melee and cast go for, but wasting MP like that is the stupidest thing i have ever heard lmao. If i was i that party I would have done: /emote laughs at the stupid MNK!

LOL!! There is NOTHING i have experienced that can come close to beating that....although a few weeks ago I did have a RDM while leveling in the Crawlers Nest that didnt use MP. I mean we were in the secret room, so this person had actually gotten all the way to what? 44? 45? somehow... Well when I say didnt use mp, i dont mean they casted this and that once in a while and did a poor job...i mean they casted NOTHING. Not 1 spell. The WHM and myself (BLM) kept sending /tells to each other laughing our asses off. We'd ask for refresh and they would cast it, but then never cast it again. We'd ask if they could cast an enfeeble or a nuke once in a while, so they'd make a point to cast one the next fight and then after that, just go back to meleein again full time. I couldnt belive a player at this level could be so poor at their job. Needless to say, they were promptly kicked. For the life of me I cant remember the name...but it was hilarious.

i wasnt laughing at the time.. i was rather irritated with the whole party but amazingly we only died a few times hahah!

that is incredible they must've bought their characters because there is just no way you could play to level 28 and be that obtuse about the game, that was incredible thank you i laughed my ass off good thing everybody allready left work...

Geez no wonder rdm's get a bad rap. That must be a rdm that just got refresh and does not know how to use it yet in a party. It wears off every 3 mins...

lol thats awesome... the closest i have to a story like that was in the yutungah(i cant use tab? WTF?!?)jungle.
i had a pty that though a pld (me) with 85mp at lvl 26 could heal myself and they wouldnt need healing, so we skipped the whm or rdm and got all dd (there was a RNG, SAMx2, MNK, DRG). then they decided to pull a gob before i had a chance to ditch them, and they were surprised to find that i could hold hate as well as i did (noone got hit cept me), like they have never seen it before.... i held hate so well, my mp was gone in bout 1 min and i died shortly after, they tried to voke off me, but no dice. i died and said u guyz are fukin morons and left.

I don't have quite so hilarious story, but I was in Valkurm leveling my WAR and our WHM cast Curaga every fight. I was the tank in the pt and was steadily growing annoyed and amused at the guy. Each fight he would cast the spell and quite quickly get torn to shreds. The guy would then hp, run back to the pt, join in the fight, and cast it again. After about the fourth time I actually commented about him using such a "hateful" spell and requested he stop so I could do my job. Of course the guy had no other retort but to cast the spell again. He died six times in about 30 min and eventually just disbanded.

I just so hate ppl who pull when a pt member is weakened, and if your the puller then ...... idk what to say now.

Personally I prefer for the pt to keep pulling if someone is weaked. I want the xp to continue and if the pt is good enough it's never an issue. I've had several such pt's and the time that I was puller and weakened we just had someone else pull for a couple. A good enough pt can overcome anything.

Yeh true Ik, if you can get away with it with a solid pt then great. I naturally quite like to take 2 min breaks in pt's more than most, as I cannot stand like constant pulling for hours on end. sends me mad a little... 0.o

Last Sunday morning (Saturday night in U.S.), I went Kazham to level my thf. I saw Timm. He was Nin and I was thf at that moment. Both of us were LFG.

1. One moment later, I got an invite.

2. then I zoned to 1st jungle and casted Utsusemi. Suddenly I was dropped without any words. I sent "" to the leader but no reply. Alright, I was fine. At least I didn't pop squid sushi, lucky >.<

3. I stayed in 1st jungle for a while and wanted to know who was my "replacement". Then I saw Timm ran to meet them and prolly they invited Timm. I told Timm good luck and be careful ......

4. I zoned back to Kazham and just sat nearby the NPC of chocobo.

5. After a moment, somehow I saw Timm zoned in Kazham. Only he, not his party. Then he ran to the moogle and got naked to zoned out. A few mins later, he zoned back to Kazham, became a Ninja back and zoned to 1st Jungle again. Prolly he needed to raise his party. I remember even the party hadn't any whm, but it had 2 rdm. It should be ok on healing, I thought.

6. Around 15 mins later, I saw Timm in Kazham again, surely he was naked......

7. While LFG, I kept checking the kazham AH and cooked stuff for my living. After a few synthesis, once I passed thru the tunnel from AH and gonna go to check my delivery box, I saw Timm(naked) again!

8. After a few mins, somehow I got invite from the leader again. This time I didn't accept and just ignore. Then the leader sent me tell "sorry for the earlier...". I thought he admitted his impoliteness, so I accepted his invite.

Nightmare started ......

9. Party setup should be rdm(leader), drg, nin(Timm), thf(me), mnk, xxx. With this setup, I just thought the rdm was the healer.

10. I offered to pull. Surely I just tried a mandy first. After the 1st battle, I found something strange but didn't know the exact root cause. We got hit a little bit and the rdm's mp had burnt out. Then I just gave Timm 1 unit of "Leesc's Apple Au Lait" (I made it while leveling cooking ^^). I made a 2nd pull. Still, there was no cure after fight because of 0 mp. So, I gave Timm another Au Lait again.

11. After a bit rest, we were going to try a gob coz Timm and I were Lv28.

12. This time, the gob was so tough. The mnk hold too much hate and hp was dropped to 36! I kept an eye on the mnk. I saw the rdm started casting but no white light surrounding the mnk, instead "Water" to the gob! Sure, the mnk died. Then it turned to Timm. Shadows could only postpone the death a bit later

13. After this death, I realised the problem and Timm shouted in party why the rdm NEVER casted any CURE !!! OMG. This was not an exp. party! This was a trap! Then, Timm disbanded ...... and we just found the rdm had a Lv6 blm subjob only .......

14. The mnk didn't disband and I guessed he just wanted to get back his exp. loss. The leader just invited another rdm. I was happy that we would have healer. I asked who was the healer. But the new coming rdm just said "not me".

15. For their safety, I just pulled mandy with poor exp. But the rdm just casted Cure, maybe, based on his mood. So, just a VT mandy was more than enough to kill the tank.

16. To the mnk, surely he also left. I guessed he realised that he won't be able to get back his exp. in this party anymore while he just kept away and away from next level.

17. I kept seeing ppl joint in, then died. They stayed and wanna get exp. back but just got multiple death. Finally they disbanded. Then the leader invite other ppl to this trap again. I kept watching this "cycle".

18. With this crazy party, I spent several hours but never leveled up. At that time, I found Timm had reached 29 in 2nd jungle

19. Why I couldn't level up? I didn't died. But those ppl kept eating death or "AFK". It was around AFK per 2 fights. How come they would accept invite or form party if they cannot commit!!

I don't mind their skills or knowledge but I was furious on their mentality.

20. Coming to the end...... as usual, I went out to pull. Then a drk, who like to keep afk or brb to enjoy his AH every 10 mins, just shouted "POP". Surely I ran crazy back to camp and nothing there. I asked where was the mob but he just said it was a joke.

21. I said nothing and went out scouting again. The drk just said "POP" again. It reached my last straw. I just sat at the camp. The drk went out and pulled a gob. He didn't swing his scythe but kept shoting with wooden arrow and missed! Surely, ppl died again and {Flee} just saved me. As what Timm did, I became a raiser. I didn't raise the drk and just disbanded from party.

After waiting for a while, I got invited from Timm's party in 2nd jungle. Once I joint the party, he just told me "we have plenty of heal" ;D

IF I can get my 69 RDM back i would be glad to assist you in healing your party to get your THF level up. *sigh* again another stupid RDM! What the fuck? RDM isn't even that hard. I stand there and cast so the fight goes smoothly...If i mess up someone else dies not me. This cycle you explained reminds me of this video:

I would have left this pt so quickly. After 5 fights if the RDM didn't heal anyone I'd be gone (even if I was MNK). Knowing what a good pt is and what one is not if a pt isn't working start your own. Most times the xp comes much easier and you can easily get rid of those people are are there to leech.
