I was reading on the Playstation.com FFXI board when someone was talking about the event that starts in June. Someone said that if you deleted your char yourself you can't get it back. I hope he is wrong.

I got newsletter 4 from Playonline abotu part 2 of the campaign.

Applications for PartII will be accepted from June 7th, 2005 (16:00 PM).
- The applicant must be a current PlayOnline member.
- The applicant has cancelled a FINAL FANTASY XI Content ID, and is unable to use the regular Content ID reactivation process because the reactivation period has passed.
* The above eligibility also applies to applicants who have deleted their characters on their Content IDs before cancelling the ID itself. "

I deleted my char and cancelled my Content ID. I couldn't find any clear answers so I will have to wait and see. Wish me luck.

Hmm it's June 7th...the only thing is i'm in korea. So i have to wait 'til tomorrow to get my char back. Expect me to log on at about midnight-3am on June 8th back in the states.

Another twist to this bullshit:

Eligibility



- Applicants must be current PlayOnline members who have cancelled a FINAL FANTASY XI Content ID, and are unable to use the regular Content ID reactivation process because the reactivation period has passed. Applicants who have also cancelled their PlayOnline membership will not be eligible.
*The above eligibility also applies to applicants who have deleted their characters on their Content IDs before cancelling the ID itself.
- Applicants who have cancelled a FINAL FANTASY XI Content ID, but are currently playing with a different Content ID are also eligible (to reactivate the cancelled ID).

Applicants will be ineligible for the campaign if any of the following apply:
- The applicant has deleted the character data on a Content ID, but has not cancelled the Content ID itself.
- The applicant has deleted the character data on a Content ID before cancelling the ID itself, then has reactivated said Content ID and created a new character on it.
*Please note that cancelling a Content ID or deleting a character at this time will not make you eligible for the campaign.

I tried to reactivate but it told me that I had not used FFXI services before cancelling POL. I DID NOT CANCEL POL. I will try again during my lunch hour....

It still doesn't work..oh well. I do not want to start from scratch. I will still post here though. I think this is a good time to start my real social life. I can drink now I will still post pictures of my travels around Korea and Japan. Have fun!

If you really want to play, don't totaly rule out starting a new character. It could be fun doing early stuff over now knowing what you do now about the game.

Hmm you're right. I will start a new character tomorrow. I noticed today after work I was extremly bored and my Japanese penpal is getting ready to go on a trip to Okinawa so I won't have much to do. I will probaby change my name so i don't get a million people asking me if i was the old 69 red mage stargasior.
