Phomiuna Aqueducts Subligar Hunting

Ok, after the awesomely successful Promyvion runs of last Friday, I have decided that we can definitely move ahead with some of the Promyvion Missions as an LS. However, before we do that, I think we should have a big massive subligar hunt in the Phomiuna Aqueducts. For those not familiar with the quest, you basically go kill Fomor mobs (shadow type mobs of a specific job, very cool looking) until they drop a job-specific subligar. You then use that subligar to get a special piece of level 50 Job-Specific body armor. Some pieces are better than others, but most of them are cool-looking if nothing else. The pieces for the jobs are as follows...

Ok, so I am thinking the plan will be to just go out and get as many subligars as we possibly can.

However, rather than just have everyone lot on every subligar they may have a mild interest in, I would like to devise some way to split them up based on how much people want a particular one. Basically, if someone really wants the MNK piece, it would suck for them to be out-lotted by someone who only sort of wants it.

To work around this, my idea is to have everyone pick TWO subligars they would like to get, and also pick which of those two they want the most. This way, when a subligar drops, only those people who have it set as their top priority will lot for it. Once everyone who has that particular as their first priority has gotten one, those people who have it as a secondary will begin to lot for them if we get more. Once everyone who has that particular as their second priority has one, everyone else can chime in and lot if we get more.

So, as a hypothetical, let's say we have 16 people going, 4 of whom have said that the SMN piece is their top priority, and 2 of whom have said that the SMN piece is their second priority. As the first SMN subligar drops, the 4 who place it #1 would lot. As the next drops, the 3 remaining who have it as #1 would lot, and so on, until all 4 who place it #1 have one. Then, when the 5th drops, the people who place it #2 would lot, and so on.

I apologize for how wordy that explanation came out. If you need clarification, please ask.

I do not plan on setting a date yet, though sometime within the next 2 weeks would be ideal. I am mostly trying to get a list of people who would be interested in going to see if we have enough to pull this off.

So please, if you are interested, respond to this message with your TWO subligar choices, and also what jobs you would be available to go as (Phomiuna Aqueducts is capped at level 40). Again, stellar gear would not be required, but running around naked would be unacceptable, so please only list jobs you would be able to decently equip.

I can come as RNG, THF, and SAM.

Please note that you do NOT need to be level 50 in a job to get the subligar. If you'd like to get the Monk subligar but come as a WHM, that is perfectly acceptable.

Also, just to note, when you start the quest, you tell the NPC which JSE body piece you want, she then instructs you which subligar to get. So even if you want the mnk body piece, it may not be the mnk subligar you need (as I understand it). Also, you cannot, CANNOT start this quest (and therefore find out which subligar you need) unless you are wearing one piece of AF (weapon does not count). So you must be lvl 52 to actually get this quest.

Taken a glance on the mnk's JSE, Akido Gi is nice but it has the same "outlook" as my J. Gi ( Never bought 2 clothes with same outlook >< ) Actually, the subligar is also nice-looking but too sexy. I will be scolded if wearing it

After you guys obtained the subligar, don't return to the NPC at once. Let me help all of you to take a photo first lol

I might even put WHM above MNK just because of the stats of the gear.

I can bring MNK, WHM, BRD, THF, or WAR to a lvl 40 event, but only MNK and BRD are fully equiped. THF, WAR, and WHM are partially equiped and I may have to purchase some weapons and small armor.

Note: I do still need to do the Promys. I missed the run Friday due to my cable being out. I hope we can schedule another run. If nothing else I wouldn't mind a weekly run just for the 9K Exp.

Leesc, if you would like to get the JSE for another job, then you are by all means welcome to do so. You don't simply have to get it for whatever job you have at that level. I'd prefer people only get it if they plan on using it, but you are welcome to go after any piece you'd like.

Ok, in response to my earlier post (since no one has seemed to comment... )

You do, infact, need to be wearing some sort of AF (non weapon) to get this quest.(any AF, not necessarily the job you wish to get the body piece for)
BUT, it works out that if you want the DRK body piece, you need the subligar from the fomor drk. So we can all get our subligar that we want and just start the quest later. That's good news.
