k i just recently started lvlin BLU and i really like but im also at the same time really confused. ok 1st off i would like to know if someone can please explain to me the lvl gap and skill lvl in order to learn newer moves. For Example Im a Lvl 9 Blu, Blu Skill @21 NOT CAPPED!, i have all spells up to Lvl 12 and i seen on the guide that i can also learn Sheep song in W. Ronfaure., But what i dont know is how far up can i try to learn spells before i need to actually lvl the job itself up? Can Anyone please answer this?
2. What is the Specific Stat you look for in BLU? i read somewhere its INT for your spells but does any1 know this for sure? And if it isnt INT what is the best stat to UP?
And 3. With so many different BLU spells , and what i hear of more to come, how do u know exactly which ones to set? Do you Balance it out? Or is it better to ignore stuff like cocoon or metallic body and just go all on the offensive?
4. What are the SJ's used for BLU.. i know /WHM can be good for MP, /NIN mostly likely for Utsusemi, And ive also seen /THF.. dont really know what thats used for.
5. What kind of gear it good for BLU. Should i be leaning toward STR or ACC gear or more along the lines of MP gear??? Not really too sure atm.
If anyone else is new to BLU or is thinking about starting it.. or if any member whos already have it 75 wouldnt mind helpin get spells from time to time .. /tell me in game please or just respond here. Thank You

First off, your blu magic skill being capped will help you learn spells faster. I think you can learn spells from mobs that are 2-5 lvl's above you, so long as your blu magic skill is capped. I learned gigas stomp 5 lvl's before I could use it
as for important stats for spells, it changes from spell to spell. One spell might be boosted by int, were as others might be mnd, or str or vit.
as for what sub to use and what spells to set, I would say it all depends on what your doing. If your tanking you will want /war and defensive spells. If your solo-ing or not sure /nin is a decent option. as for /thf some spells like screwdriver WILL STACK with sneak attack. So really what is best will depend on your pt.
I would check the allakazam job forum stickys for more specific info though im sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, but this should help some.
my blu is only 27, Nessus and myself dou-ed to about 25 as blux2 I was /nin she was /whm, and we were keeping up with the full pt's around us hehehe

As a former BLU ill post up my knowledge.
1. ALWAYS keep your blu skill capped. It helps with evrything from spell acc, damage, and ability to learn new spells. The range to learn spells was 8 levels higher i believe.
2. Depends on stats. If ur using physical spells then STR and DEX is ur best best. Healing spells need MND. But with the multi-hit spells you wanna keep ur acc+ high as acc+ does affect spells.
3. Set spells to ur style and to what ur pt needs. Certain pts need u to do certain roles, thusly y blu is such a pt friendly job because of its adaptive nature.
4. /THF is best till 74 then /NIN overtakes it. at 60 SA + chain affinity Death Scissors will do some big damage. and as early as mid 30's with SA chain affinty Mandibular bite is good too. SA works great with 1 hit spells (Death scissors, Sickle slash, mandibular bite, cannonball ect...) /NIN is good when soloin and past 74 when u get acess to Ni. /WHM is fun to heal with but not really pt friendly.
5.Like i said earlier, STR, DEX, Acc+, mp+ all good choices. acc+ is prolly best tho.
