Well gang, I have gone and done it. I went out yesterday (it was pay day) and bought Gran Turismo 4, and I must say I am immensely impressed with it.
First of, I am a total autophile, just ask Stri or Bas, and this game just butters my bread. 650+ cars, 100 tracks, and AMAZING detail.
I can already feel myself getting pretty hooked. I already have a 976 horsepower Viper GTS and a 940+ horsepower Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG.
Don't worry, I will still continue to play FFXI, probably at about the current pace I have been playing this summer, if not maybe a little bit more.
If you liked Gran Turismos 1-3, you'd probably really like Gran Turismo 4. It ups the realism slightly, enforcing penalties and such for hard hits, but once you get used to it, it's not too bad.

I have GT3(100% completed) and GT4. I have GT4 at 30% complete but my tastes have changed. I am now bored with racing games and do not play it anymore. It is a great game though, but I found it alot harder than GT3. The only videogame i play now is FFXI.

I've never been one for racing games that much, but I do like a good bit of GTA every now and again. That's Grand Theft Auto for all you not in the know.
Most likely the only game that will draw me away from FFXI would be Age of Empires III. I very much enjoyed II and found myself fighting all sorts of enemies (up to 5 at once) and using every kind of race. AOEII rules on so many lvls and I miss having LAN sessions playing it. Maybe when III comes out I can start again.
