havent been in game in 2 years now i think, so question.. what the hell does a scholar do? or a dancer?

From what I have seen, SCH can toggle between black and white magic. Seems pretty cool and also the SJ choice of mages. DNC does party buffs and can heal. They do stuff such as Drain samba (drains HP from mob) and Aspir Samba (drains MP), as well as curing waltz, healing waltz, and so on. I don't know to much about sch but got dnc up to 37. It's a fun job.

SCH is a combination of WHM and BLM. It can cure and nuke just as well as either. It can also give pt buffs (like Regen II to all 6 at once, or stoneskin, or enthunder). SCH isn't hammered into one spot, but more often than not is treated like a WHM.

DNC is like a THF, but w/o SATA and with cures. They can also enfeeble the mob using TP with such enfeebles as Defense Down, Evasion Down, and Gravity. DNC uses TP to cure pt members or the whole pt at once (curaga-type move). Drain Samba is well-liked because it allows the pt to regain HP just by attacking the mob. Drain and Aspir Sambas don't actually drain HP/MP from the mob, but do end up giving it to the pt.
