I've heard about the exploit but the thought of using it never even came up. My salvage group is all about bitching about the horrid drop rates, but we're honest about getting the drops.

I hope they do perma-ban all the bastards who used the exploit.

was this just the glitch where you could have friends try to enter salvage with you but d/c at the perfect time so you still got in but they didn't lose their permit?

Nope, it was where people'd make several pts and trick the pool into dropping one piece of gear per pt. So many times the pts would be 2-3 people instead of the normal 6.

Very notable people across all servers have been banned:

Kaeko - Enmity testing, First solo of Apollyon NW, first solo of a Chariot, wealth of knowledge for the entire community. Not sure if he is perma or not yet.

Lordwafik
Wopadobop
Minidragon (#1 player on ffxiah across all servers, like 10 relics or something ridiculous)
Jackyl - first mythic weapon
Both Burgtang owners (mythic weapons)

A crapload of other people.
