Hi guys. I decided to check the playonline website for the heck of it and noticed that the the service to get your old char back is now permament. I tried a few years ago to get my old lvl 69 red mage (which I deleted in 2005) back but could not because I had a new char with the same name. Well, I checked to see what char I could get back. It seems the new star has been deleted by the game which means that... I can reactivate my old lvl 69 red mage!! i am now very much on the verge of coming back to FFXI atleast for this summer. I'm so shocked that my hands are shaking. I will ask the wife one more time to see if I can play. I could probably play 4-5 hours a night after my son and my wife goes to sleep.  |

Cool, hope to see you back soon! I hear you on the playing time, I usually hop on during the week when my wife falls asleep on the couch (if I don't have an event).

Just think, Star used to be the person we all went to for help. If/when he comes back it'll be the other way around.

yeah i actually am just starting over, but i was able to reactivate my old char mikeyy last night thanks to sics help. So i will be back on my old name. but good to see you back star if it happens.

I should be able to log on tonight after updating my PS2. I'll be on sometime between 10pm and 2am Hawaiian time (4am-8am EST) everynight. If anyone can be on during that time so they can give me a linkpearl that would be awesome.
It will be interesting to see how much the game has changed. I don't have the Wings of the Goddess expansion, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem should it?

After reactivating my Playonline ID, updating, getting a content ID, waiting 4 hours for FFXI update, then reactivating my 69 red mage, changing the name because the other char had the same name, Stargasiorr (with two r's) is back. I have all my gear from 2005. I'm going to bed now. See you tomorrow.
