Hakenmann (Orobon)
Weak to: Lightning
Immune: Water
Hildesvini (Marid)
Weak to: Water
Himinrjot (Buffalo)
Weak to: Water
Hraesvelg (Manticore)
Weak to: Water
Morbol Emperor (Morbol)
Weak to: Fire
Strong to: Water
Nihhus (Wivre)
Weak to: Wind, Ice
Strong to: Earth
Weak to: Lightning
Immune: Water
- Can Draw In its current target.
- It can be bound via Regurgitation and possibly Bind.
- Uses normal Orobon attacks.
- Hypnic Lamp: AoE Sleep (only with eye stalks present)
- Vile Belch: AoE Plague + Silence
- Seaspray: Cone Attack Water damage + Slow (overwrites Haste)
- Seismic Tail: AoE high damage
- Gnash: Single-target physical damage. Deals damage equal to 1/2 of target's current HP.
- Leeching Current: AoE Water damage + HP drain
- Deathgnash: Reduces target HP to 1 and resets hate.
- Abominable Belch: AoE Paralyze + Plague + Silence
- Uses a dangerous special TP move called Seismic Tail, which can be stunned if you are quick. It does approx. 800 dmg/knockback. It can be absorbed by Utsusemi sometimes.
- When it uses a TP move it will use it three times in a row, One stun during the three consecutive TP moves seems to stop all from occurring.
- Hypnic Lamp: AoE Sleep (only with eye stalks present)
- Black Magic was unresisted, and seemed to be the most reliable source of damage.
Hildesvini (Marid)
Weak to: Water
- Can Draw In its current target.
- Occasionally spawns Djiggas while fighting.
- A good strategy is a slow battle of attrition with DoT spells, melee, and PLD tanks while having at least four BLMs paired off into teams of two to cast tier III -ga spells on the Djiggas as soon as they spawn. The boss can be beaten with less than 20 people using this method, assuming hate is set strongly on the PLDs and the melee don't die to unnecessary cone damage.
- Repeatedly uses Proboscis Shower whenever Djiggas are alive, healing itself for anywhere from 1,000-10,000 HP. This move is stunnable, however the stun window is quite short and he builds complete resistance to Stun after about 5-10 minutes of steady stunning.
- The boss can be kited and damaged over time. This kiting will be similar to the way a player can kite Adamantoise or Aspidochelone to one side of the zone in Cape Teriggan to avoid aggro of other monsters. Even though the player will be drawn in, they can keep running forward to move the mob.
- His Djiggas will retain hate on any player in the chamber, even after dying and Reraising far away from their home point. This makes recovering from a wipe extremely difficult.
- Marid Abilities:
- Barrier Tusk: Defense boost
- Flailing Trunk: Frontal AoE physical damage. Absorbed by 2 Utsusemi shadows
- Onrush: Physical damage. Absorbed by 1 Utsusemi shadow
- Voracious Trunk: Absorb a single Status Effect including Food. Not blocked by Utsusemi.
- Stampede: Single high damage attack. Absorbed by 2 Utsusemi shadows
- Proboscis Shower: Restores HP. Only used by certain Notorious Monsters.
- Barrier Tusk: Defense boost
Himinrjot (Buffalo)
Weak to: Water
- Can Draw In his current target.
- Uses standard buffalo TP moves.
- Lowing: AoE Plague effect.
- Big Horn: Single target melee attack.
- Rampant Gnaw: Single target melee attack + Paralyze.
- Rabid Dance: Evasion Boost effect.
- Snort: Cone Attack Wind damage and Knockback.
- Mighty Snort: Cone Attack Wind damage and hate reset. Only used by certain notorious monsters.
- Snort doesn't show up as a TP move in the log; it just shows a bunch of "Himinrjot hits <Player>" at the same time.
- This Snort-like attack does conal damage and knockback and ignores Utsusemi.
- If everyone stands against the wall, the knockback has no effect (but more people will get hit).
- This Snort-like attack does conal damage and knockback and ignores Utsusemi.
- Lowing: AoE Plague effect.
- Hate is very random. Either the Snort move does hate reset, or it just randomly switches targets every few seconds. Even someone AFK away from the battle can get hate.
- Very high Defense. Lowest when attacking from the back, highest when attacking from the front. Dia III + Angon recommended.
- Elemental Magic damage is very effective against him. Thunder works pretty well, at least with Threnody on. Blizzard is mostly resisted.
- Easily kited, as it stops to do its Snort attack.
Hraesvelg (Manticore)
Weak to: Water
- Can Draw In its current target.
- Uses standard manticore TP moves as well as Mighty Strikes.
- Monster seems to have random hate; switches targets often and with no apparent pattern.
- Highly resistant to many earth based Enfeebling Magic spells, additionally has shown great resistance to Diabolos's Ultimate Terror. Recommend the use of Paralyze II seems to stick rather well.
- For a BLU, Poison Breath worked extremely well. Nearly 200 damage each cast.
- Keeping DoTs up for duration of the fight will shorten the time required to kill this.
- Manticore Abilities:
- Riddle: 15' AoE Max MP Down (approx. -41.5%).
- Heat Breath: Fire-based Breath Attack.
- Great Whirlwind: Single target damage and Choke
- Great Sandstorm: Single target damage and Blind.
- Tail Smash: Single target damage
- Tail Swing: Single target damage and Bind.
- Deadly Hold: Single target critical damage.
- Riddle: 15' AoE Max MP Down (approx. -41.5%).
Morbol Emperor (Morbol)
Weak to: Fire
Strong to: Water
- Can Draw In its current target.
- Uses standard morbol TP moves.
- Bad Breath: Cone Attack that inflicts many debilitating status effects, including Slow, Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Weight, Bind and Blind
- Vampiric Root: Single-target Drain, blocked by Utsusemi; Drains beneficial status effects and transfer them to the enemy.
- Sweet Breath: Cone Attack damage and Sleep
- Impale: Single-target damage added effect Paralyze
- Vampiric Lash: Single-target Drain, blocked by Utsusemi
- In ToAU areas, Vampiric Lash will remove all beneficial status effects and transfer them to the enemy.
- Vampiric Root: Absorb all buffs from target. Absorbing all a Paladin's buffs can make this boss very difficult to kill unless they are quickly Dispelled. Blocked by Utsusemi.
- Bad Breath: Cone Attack that inflicts many debilitating status effects, including Slow, Poison, Silence, Paralyze, Weight, Bind and Blind
- This boss has a pattern in its TP attacks. It will use Impale, Vampiric Root, or Vampiric Lash 3 times. It may use the same one or different ones, seems to be random. It will then use one of its breath attacks, either Sweet Breath or Bad Breath. It also seems to alternate between the two breath attacks when the time comes around. After the breath attack, it will then repeat the sequence.
- Very susceptible to Paralyze
Nihhus (Wivre)
Weak to: Wind, Ice
Strong to: Earth
- Can Draw In its current target.
- Uses standard wivre TP moves.
- Demoralizing Roar: AoE Attack Down 50%.
- Clobber: Uses tail to attack, cone AoE damage.
- Batterhorn: Frontal cone damage + Knockback.
- Granite Hide: Immunity to physical attacks in front.
- Boiling Blood: Gains Haste and Berserk effect. Will always show "Haste" effect in log, and never Berserk.
- Crippling Slam: Very high frontal cone damage + Paralysis.
- Batterhorn seems to reset hate.
- Crippling Slam is massive AOE damage with a potent paralyze effect.
- Crippling Slam seems to be used only when Nihhus is below 30% HP.
- Demoralizing Roar: AoE Attack Down 50%.
- It is a good idea to save 2-hours for this point in the fight.
- Magic damage against Nihhus is reduced by ~35%.
- Attacking from the rear causes Nihhus to cast Paralyga.
- It is best to attack from the sides. Like all Wivre, it receives defense bonuses from those areas
