To help me adjust strategy for next odin fight, can I get some feedback on what went well and what went badly in that first fight?
Aside from the unlucky breakga and nermie dc right before Zansjkdflk phase, i think the tank party was doing ok the whole fight?
2 Rdm kiters died during 2nd fomor phase, what happened?
Rngs need to watch hate a little more, maybe store 200tp before ws early in the fight.
Any other input would be appreciated, thanks.

I died during the first and second wave.
First time i died i believe i ran in the wrong direction so my whm was unable to cure me. Shadows went down fast, i think they double attack. Just couldnt get em up fast enough. Though they depopped as soon as i died, so, mission still accomplished.
Second time i died because i saw an unclaimed add so i pull him off of whoever he was beating down, two adds took me down pretty quick.
Though, with the second wave i believe i understood everything a bit more and was able to successfully tank/kite for quite a while.

I really wasn't prepared for the fight both as playing a totally new job and in knowing exactly what was going to happen. I think now that we've done the fight once a lot of us will have a much better idea of what to expect/do for the next run.
As for the breakga I was out of range and could have used an avatar to remove it from the WHM in my pt if I knew what could remove it.
Personally I was confused on when we were to move away and when we were supposed to fight. When I read the chat about 23% stop doing DMG, I thought it meant when Odin only had 23% HP left (which didn't make sense if move was at 25%).
I think a full strat should be posted so we can all read it and be comfortable before the fight. I also think certain descriptions need to more standardized (like listing % Odin has left, not that he has missing).

tanking was pretty easy, with haste only bouncing hate between both pld, the annoying thing was the paralyga and slowga. which wipe shadows alot when he spammed it. slowga was rewriting haste.
even the blizaga were not too bad with the shell 4 or 5 i had.
what kinda screwed us was the breakga > Zangetblabla
in my opinion it was impossible to stona or leviathan move(i think) it, and then us have time to disengage and heal
i think it went fairly well for a first time.
(edit) Also, like Ik said, a strat that we could read would be a good idea too, i also did not really know/remember what to watch for.

We really got unlucky with breakga > zantetsuken, not really much we could have done to prevent that, except for maybe get more people out of range as he gets closer to 9%. Thankfully, that shouldn't happen very often, just some bad luck.
I noticed a lot of confusion about when people were supposed to be fighting, or positioning. Melees were going in slow during fomor waves, or staying in too long after we'd forced a depop, that sort of thing.
Also, we seemed to be a bit lacking in the ranged DD department. I know we're limited with what we have available, but a couple more RNG's would have helped a lot, especially when pushing odin from 12->9 to force zantetsuken. We needed smns to help out there, because the few RNGs we had weren't going to be able to handle doing that much damage in the time available.

When fighting a new mob for the first time there are things that come into play: Nervousness being one of the main things, and not knowing what to expect in terms of how the mob is going to act.
In some cases, just reading up on it and listening to the strategy of how others have fought it just isn't enough preperation.
It seemed that the direction wasn't clear enough and created a lot of confusion throughout the fight.
Regardless, people now know what to expect, and will be calm, and better prepared the next time we fight.

A few things that went wrong: - I was lagging really bad and eventually d/c'd and was not able to get back online for a good 10 minutes (I've called my ISP about this and they're supposed to check it out this week since it continues happening since that day) - The RNGs and other DD were dying in range of Odin soon after it's 10k needles move because they are bound. We need to unbind the DD quickly or they may die - I didn't pay too much attention to the kiters because I had to focus on the PLD's while lagging but keeping them away from the PLD's is definitely helpful - There seemed to be deaths even outside the 10k needles timeframe due to people standing too close to Odin. Everybody not meleeing/holdings Odin should keep 20' distance (a backline job player should be responsible for announcing that location and reminding players to stay behind them)
A few things that were good: - The number of PLD's we had was great because even though we had issues with deaths we were able to keep hate on them - Good turn out - 35 people showing up is great for a first attempt.
