The subject of this thread is just kidding. The below is something about how SE against the Windower. It seems they don't have any methods to detect the client side but only tracking our chat log.

SInce im 100% sure thats theres no way SE can detect anything runing from the client side mine coversation could be like:

GM: Are you using windower?

GM: Ill see if your account can be set to termination!
Blakmarket: why?
GM: Cuz i see you using windower.
Blakmarket: IM NOT DUDE AND YOU CAN COME RIGTH NOW TO MY PLACE TO VERIFY.
GM: We have a server side script that tould us you are using windower.

ME: Well i can say i have a hack that can kill VTRA in one hit, talking about 3rd party parograms its not breaking the rules, using them is.
GM: so you agree you are using windower.
ME: DAM, NO IM NOT GO AHEAD AND BAN MY ACCOUNT YOU WILL HERE FROM ME AND MY LAWYERS IN NO TIME, CUZ AINT USING ANY FREAKING 3RD PARTY.

I am using PC version and strongly hope SE to issue the Window mode. It becomes a "All-or-nothing" decision if logging on. It fully occupies my computer. Ironically what I do is to just look at the moogle for hours (lfg). lol

the windower allows you to 'window' FFXI so you can do other things while playing FFXI.

technically it's illegal because if you have access to other programs while playing, it's easier to use a thrid party bot. But I like the windower only because it allows people to make those kick ass videos. I'm pretty sure SE doesn't ban people who make those. It's an artistic expression of how much people love this game.

also, i'm glad they fixed issues with those teleportation hacks.

Yea, they had found a hak that could instantly transport you to anywhere in a zone. so as soon as a HNM would spawn, they could be there. That's what this most recent matenance for windows only was for.
