Just a thought, we should make a priority to kill Bakka for Azure Abyssite of Celerity, Fear Gorta for Azure Abyssite of the Reaper, Ephemeral Clionid for Viridian Abyssite of Avarice, and Bhumi or Manananggal for Viridian Abyssite of Merit. That last one goes to whoever aggros it. I'm totally in favor of everyone getting the key items (especially warps). Manananggal = {Yes, Please!} as it drops items I need for my H2H trial.

Here's an updated list of items that I want. Items in italic are iffy or lower priority.
Konschtat - Goetia Chain, Graiai Earring, Anguinus Belt, Searing Sash La Theine - Goading Belt, Ultion Mantle, Poise Shoes, Afflictors, Sharpeye Mantle Tahrongi - Bifrost Ring, Thew Bomblet
Do we have separate priority lists for each zone or if we get 1 drop do we go to the end of the list for all zones?

Sooo... has anyone heard of the 60k+/hour xp runs in abyssea (full alliance)? We should try this.... I guess same mobs with different kinds of damage nets the best xp. 600+ xp per mob is what i hear...

I have a few Questions. 1. Do people drop to bottom of list after we fight nm of there choice. even if they dont get drop... 2. Does person on top of list get to choose zone... If not how do we choose zone... 3. If person 2nd on list would rather try for a differnt item in another zone first.. Do we skip that person and go to the next person on the list? 4. If we do a NM and an item drops that wasnt the desired item how do we determine who gets the item? And does that person drop down the list?
Also dont forget to change my wanted item... I have Thew bomblet already... Also magian item I want is carabooses gem...

There is 1 lotting list, after you have lotted and won ANY gear item your name goes to the bottom of the list. I'm planning runs randomly alternating between zones, if you don't want an item enough to drop to the bottom for it, don't put it on your list, leave that zone blank. If we kill a mob and it drops nothing, the person stays at the top of the list. If something drops that is not on anyone's list, it is a free lot but will cause you to drop if you lot and win. If no one is willing to lot it, just don't pass and it can free drop to anyone without them dropping down the list.
You guys putting goading belt as your item, need to understand A. how hard it is to get the pop items for this nm, and B. how tough the nm is. Chances are, we're not going to kill it soon. Not to say we'll never fight it, but just understand we're not doing it now.

Take a look at this: wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Developer_Q%26A:_AbysseaSeems like pearlescent(melee) light increases chest drop rate, and azure(magic) light increases blue chest rewards, so we should probably target those two specifically. The abundance of red chests from last time was probably tied to us having a lot of WS killshots (ruby light)

Yeah basically need to WS at start of fight and just melee after that, blms try to snipe out a kill with t3 toward end of fights

One strategy I've seen posted was to spend the first 30 minutes doing nothing but magic kills, the next 30 minutes doing nothing but melee kills, and the rest of the time killing as fast as possible, not paying attention to killshots.
Apparently the game remembers the highest light attained of each type, so if we spend time building azure and pearlescent, it will really help blue chest rates and drops, even after we've ditched those lights.

According to a poster on Alla, using Odin to killshot can generate "Intense" Azure lights.
This makes me think that perhaps there is more to it than we thought. Perhaps doing mostly magic damage to a mob AND getting a magic killshot generates stronger lights.
Either way we should try Odin next time.
