Here's the basic strategy/setup for our Einherjar runs in case Crunch or I are not there to lead the run.
2 WHM - 1 per melee pt
2 BRDs - 1 per melee pt
1-2 RDM/DRK - in BLM pt
2-3 BLM
1 puller (PLD, THF, BLU, or RDM all work well)
1 assist (someone who's fast on engaging, a melee)
rest melee
For all trash mobs have BRDs do double march. For boss if you have 1 BRD double march, 2 BRDs march and minuet.
A typical setup for us:
MNK, WHM, SAM, WAR, BRD, SAM
BLU, WHM, RNG, THF, WAR, DNC
RDM, BLM, BLM, PLD, SCH, SMN
So, a recap:
pt 1:
melee DD assist

DD or hybrid/buffer (COR or DNC work for this)
pt 2:

Boss | Notes |
Tier 1 | |
Hakenmann | need to stun Seismic Tail as it is AoE DMG+knockback. |
Hildesvini | BLMs in pairs to -ga 3 the Djiggas when they spawn. Has conal attacks. Djiggas have entire zone hate. |
Himinrjot | fight against wall. Snort does Conal DMG and Knockback. Hate is very random; everyone needs to keep action on it. Elemental magic works really well; use Thunder and not Blizzard. |
Hraesvelg | has random hate switch. |
Morbol Emperor | Vampiric Root absorbs all buffs from target; needs dispelled quickly. It will use Impale, Vampiric Root, or Vampiric Lash 3 times followed by Sweet Breath or Bad Breath. Paralyze works well. |
Nihhus | Batterhorn resets hate, Crippling Slam is AoE DMG and paralyze only used below 30%. Magic DMG is cut by 35%. Attack from sides, attacking from the rear will cause it to use paralyga. |
Tier 2 | |
Andhrimnir | single target charm (Danse Macabre) and -ga spells. |
Ariri Samariri | uses Tier 3 -ga spells and sleepga. Water Bomb resets hate. BLM spells do about 50%. Builds resistance to stun. |
Balrahn | Immortal Shield-magic shield (can still stick enfeebles). Casts -ga spells. Reprobation removes all buffs (including food). |
Hrungnir | splits into 2 Golems; both need to be killed at the same time. Can be stunned. |
Mokkuralfi | builds resistance to stun, at 20% uses Xenoglossia to instantly cast Thundaga IV for over 1500 damage, often uses -ga II spells for ~400 damage and -ga III spells for ~800 damage. |
Tanngrisnir | Thornsong and Body Slam (stunnable), rebuff your melee after Nullsong. Chaos Blade-Cursna your melee/mages quickly and cure them up. Nullsong does damage based on the amount of buffs you have on. |
Tier 3 | |
Dendainsonne | Resistant to stun, casts Meteor multiple times; "Dendainsonne appears to be mocking you..." (casts Meteor) |
Freke | Fight on front feet, don't stand in front, don't pull hate from behind. |
Gorgimera | Builds resistance to stun, Plague Swipe inflicts over 1300 damage. |
Motsognir | Cannot be defeated directly, must kill the 12 Kindred NMs that he spawns first. Best to kite him away and hold him while alliance kills Kindred NMs. |
Stoorworm | Mighty Strikes multiple times. Does not have auto-regen. Fight on front feet. |
Vampyr Jarl | Has 45-50K HP. Every two minutes, he transforms to a swarm of bats or several hounds. Not all can take damage until certain ones are defeated, perhaps one at a time. Once all are defeated or nearly defeated, they converge back into the Vampyr Jarl (albeit with less HP than before transformation). Chainspell - Stun can prevent him from transforming. |
