Whelp, should have probably seen it coming. To be honest, I've had less and less enthusiasm with HA since well before the server merge. The shell that I joined is not the same as the shell that exists today. It's not only the people who have come and gone, but it's the general feeling. When I joined, HA was both an HNMLS and a social shell. People talked the shit, helped each-other out, and generally had a good time. There was drama, but not so bad as today. Maybe I'm looking through rose tinted nostalgia glasses, but this isn't HA anymore.
If I can leave you with one piece of advice, communicate more. If someone is bothering you, try to talk it out with them. The less drama you can have, the better, but that starts with talking to people, even those you don't like. Remember that on the other side of the text is a person, not just an avatar.
