Figured I'd do a general post with all the pertinent information since we've been having a lot of new members joining us for Neo-Nyzul.
Requirements:
Everyone:
Skype - Much easier to talk than type and we can talk about things that SE could monitor for in /p.
Ability to communicate and respond quickly - If you get slept or stoned or charmed don't be afraid to speak up quickly so we can fix it. If you need haste say so, if you find a mob or are about to kill the leader or spec say so. The more information everyone has the easier and faster they can respond and enhance the run.
DD:
red curry buns - Need these to cap attack and pump out the most dmg we can.
5+ pairs of powder boots if you can equip them - These should be used on Spec, Lamps, or just large floors. Many people will full-time them so a charge is always ready to use. The faster you can get around the faster you can help us win the floor and the event.
26% haste and gear you wouldn't be ashamed of for a serious xp pt - The more dmg we can do the better our chances of winning.
SCH:
capped enhancing and as close to 500 skill as possible - The chart below lists the tiers of enhancing and how they affect embrava. 500 skill is the sweet spot to shoot for. Every bit closer to that helps with regen, regain, or haste.
af3+2 hands - needed for perpetuance
adloquium
enspell (enfire or enthunder generally)
phalanx
firestorm
regen 5
cure 4
nuke set, if running, for possible pdt mobs
Temporary Items (Can be set with Sorrowful Sage):
DD should have these temps:
body boost - more hp = harder to die
sprinter's drink - a free powder boots charge, also may be only flee option for some jobs
vicar's drink - great for erasing bind or other stats when sch is busy or not close
cleric's drink - very important on some bosses
fanatic's drink - used on various bosses and in 'oh, shit' situations
soldier's drink - use on boss for extra dmg
These are optional, but can be very useful:
fool's drink
barbarian's drink
dusty potion
dusty wing
dusty elixir
SCH Enhancing Magic Tiers for Embrava:
Lamp Dats:
Many people will use Lamp Dats to show the numbers of the runic lamps to take the guesswork out of finding the order. We don't talk about these in /p or /l, but are free to talk about them using Skype (recently SE made comment about banning for lamp dats).
Using POLUtils to change monster names:
1) Download POLUtils: code.google.com/p/polutils/
2) Download an XML changefile of your choice, and be sure to name it with the .xml extention.
Lamps Only: pastebin.com/848qPx7t
Lamps, NMs, Numbered Specs: pastebin.com/mqRXxXvV
3) Open POLUtils. (Run as administrator if any issues.)
4) Click "FFXI NPC Renamer"
5) Click "Show Changes..."
6) Click "Apply Changeset..."
7) Select the xml file you downloaded.
8) Click "Write Changes..."
9) Exit the program.
