SO... how's it goin? --- I got my x-box back and I'm able to return so I think I might in April. I'm on X-Box live w/ a new name tho because I wasn't able to recover my old gamertag, so I don't know what the hell is going to happen when I try to register on the x-box again. my new gamertag is 'Engine No IX' (a deftones track I covered in highschool, 'Engine No. 9') ... anyway... not looking forward to calling microsoft for the thousanth time.

HI!!! I missed you guys. My f'ck'n computer broke at the airport when they fried it w/ the x-ray machine. It'll cost more to repair it than to buy a new one. ... my desktop also broke, so I gave that to Radio Shack to fix and they claimed to have broken it during shipping and now it's mysteriously awol. my desktop was 1337 too so I'm think'n someone [Steal] it. I'm heated and I'm on my mom's laptop for now. I finally remembered my password cuz for some reason everytime I requested it emailed to me, I never got it. So I'm gunna see if I can fix that. ... I wasn't going to re-register.

I'll be on the forums a lot more now that I have access to a computer again. I HATE RADIOSHACK. they want to give me $349 to replace the $3k one they lost. I almost bashed the guy's face with his cash register. ... I'm gunna go play Rock Band.

Installing FFXI on your Xbox should be easy just register that you already have an account. As long as you remember all your info about the accout , IDs and passwords and what nots you'll be fine. Srry to hear about your tragic misfortunes, but i hope that this is the brighter side your on.

Hey friends, here an update from your favorite socially-unacceptable taru bst prince! As you may have noticed, complications prevented my April return. It seems w/o the information to access my old gamertag, there's no way I can get back to Toasty. I've been trying to contact x-box and microsoft to find out my information but I get the run around. after a week of try'n, I had some other issues that required my attention. I -can- come back, but it'd be on a new character... and when you dump four years into a taru and a bunch of mules, it sucks to even consider that. otherwise, the t-shirt thing is on hold until I can get a logo run'n and a new computer which can support decent graphic design... or.. get my own computer at all. this will be resolved within a few months, in whichcase, if I do make a new chacter for ffxi, it'll be on PC. I'll be in contact, but I've been rather busy as of late. take care friends, -T

When you say you cant get your old gamer tag, is it because you lost your window live id/password ? or xbox say your profile is corrupted ?

Cuz it happened to me that my profile was corrupted, so i thought it was HD that went wacko. so i formatted it and tried to recover my gamertag and it would just hang and give me the error:
"Can't sign in to Xbox Live. Make sure your storage device is connected and that you are connected to the internet"

if you are getting this, your profile is corrupted on their end, as silly as it sounds, that`s the truth, now try to explain that to the guy on the phone... i had to call them numerous times, and they kept telling me it was my Hd lol... dam phone people.

But eventually a guy transfered me to a supervisor. and he couldn`t figure out.

Also like you said, if you cant recover your xbox profile you will never be able to play ffxi on an xbox anymore, you can still play on Pc and PS2 tho, as i kept playing on my PS2 till it eventually got fixed.

So yes they can fix it, I randomly tried to recover like 2 weeks after i last talk to that supervisor and i was about to cancel my xbox membership.
If you get that same error send me a PM i`ll give you the reference number to my problem that, they gave me when i called, so you could give them that number i guess and tell them it`s the same problem (assuming that`s the exact thing that happened)

I don't have the windows ID or password and to file a help request, I need one or the other. I've guessed every possible thing I would have made it, but I got nuthin. If I can set him up on PC regardless of x-box stuff, that'd be seriously awesome. Thanks for all the support guys, hahaha
