another point on the possibility of valkurm is not having escorts. it's more of a challenge if they have to not only make it to valkurm alive, but also find the trading points. but then again i'm up for the challenge and i know most people are lazy.
as for complicated yea.. i know how little people care to make the effort to show for things and so by having it such less would potentially show than before. however, think about the publicity if we did hold it in valkurm and had 40 people show. everyone sees all these lvl 1's running around with the PiF pearl. they'd be like "wth is going on?" and we'd be like "scavenger hunt" and they'd be like "awesome, can i get in?" well, maybe not always, but it's a possibity.

i'm all up for this scavenger hunt, i won't win but i'd like to put my pennys in the pot  just give us some hard facts on it, time, date, place, meeting point, etc. |

I don't think having the hunt somewhere easy is a matter of laziness, I think it is a matter of efficiency. I mean, it is going to be a large time commitment as is, and making it in Valkurm would make it take all day. It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that having it in Valkurm would not only make it a challenge, it would make it damn near impossible.
I was under the impression that this was to be for fun more than anything else. If it's in Valkurm, people will be dying left and right, and that is hardly fun. Not to mention, I don't want people to be completely focused on the hunt. The goal would be to get some LS chatter going, get to know some of the people you don't know yet. You're not going to do this if your text box is hidden so you can watch for Gobs.

laziness will have a factor in everything we say or do.
as to your thought of ls chatter. yea. in east or west ron would be better for that. and i think it's a great idea. however, one day i would really like to try it in valkurm as well. i think it would be loads of fun and give each participant a thrill from having to avoid aggro.

Ok so it seems we'r gonna try it out in the rons first? you could put a restriction on guild chat and maybe make it more difficult but it seems thats not the point of this O-o. as for valky.....that would be fun! ther wouldnt be THAT much dieing, i mean who among us havent played skip around the gob gob? For some reason ikeep thinking of the old trading mini quests in the Zelda games...."wat u have this? well i could u give u this if u had something i wanted." heheh maybe one day after this becomes a staple gui...link shell event yas could take it to the jungles!!  |

Keep in mind, everyone, that this is the first one. This doen't mean we won't have more and we will have them in different areas. Valk is not out of the question let's just do a trial run first.

Ok, my plan is for Nov. the 13th or 14th, leaning more towards the 14th. Stating at 7:00 pm EST.
200 gil entry fee and the area will be in West Ronfaure.
20k starter pot, not including the entry fees added.
Hope to see everyone there. Send a /tell in game or post here if you can't make it or if everyone would like it to be on the 13th.

Saturday. Sunday does not matter to me. All that matters is time for me. If we go for an evening I doubt I will be able to make it. Man feels wierd being on the other side of organizing. >< lol have fun Timm.

I would like to have the scavenger hunt on Saturday, Nov. 13. I want to give everyone the opportunity to come. Star doesnt get to come to a lot of the events and I would not like to exclude him. Let me know what would be the best time for everyone. We will meet at the fountain in South Sandy just outside of Mog House.  |
