I've done the dunes more than anywhere else... it's easy w/ good rewards if done correctly. I've never actually set up a garrison, merely taken part.. I'm pretty sure we need to build pt squads like regular pts (healer, tank, dds.) and then use a competant kiter for the first 2 waves of monsters. I think we might want to start with a low lvl garrison just so ppl get the idea.. maybe after ecowarrior, I'll throw it out there. I'm ready for gustaberg.

For the garrison in Valkurm Dunes you'll want to set up the pt with Mage x2, DD x4 (preferably melee/WAR). Generally it's seems to work best with 1 healer per pt healing the pt members and 1 healing the NPCs, 'tho you can get by with 2 on NPCs and 3 on PT most times.
You'll need a kiter for waves 2 and 3 and you may want one for the first wave if people need extra time. Additionally, depending on the NM you may want to kite it until all the other mobs are dead.
For lvl 20, 30, and 40 garrisons the tank is the DD (pretty much anything that is /WAR). lvl 50+ you'll need a dedicated tank as regular melee will take a lot more DMG than before.
For a kiter many jobs work very well. BRD and RDM are nice since they can sleep the mob and don't have to run it all over the zone. THF is nice for evasion and flee. Most any job can work as kiter, they just have to be knowledgeable in kiting and know how to run with a mob. Most people who have pulled for any decent period of time will know how to kite.
