Well all, Silverwolf needs to get himself a set of Destroyers, and that means it is time to rally up some KSNM30 action. I haven't done that much research about them all, but I do remember having done the KSNM30 Double Dragonia for Stilgar's Destroyers and a few Dissectors as well. It's a tough fight to be sure, but I know we can do it. So, if you would be interested in helping out Silver, and maybe pulling in some loot of your own, please post here. Hopefully we can get to this soon, but I would like to gauge interest first. I'd be intersted in helping. I've only done this fight once and I went as THF45 since I was joining a manaburn that a friend had set up. I'd like to do the fight for real sometime as a DD.
I hear that the fight isn't that bad, we just need to be able to sleep the one mob so we can take out the other without interruption.

How do people feel about Thursday, August 2nd for doing this? Say about 9 PM EST?
Personally, I would like to go ahead and do it Friday following the OHat run. However, I feel like maybe people might be burnt out a bit from the OHat run and might not really be that into doing a KSNM immediately after Hakutaku. But, if people would rather do it at at this time, or another time, please let me know.
Silver is an unstoppable leveling force on MNK, we need to get this done soon!
As for the fight itself, the only other time I took a run at this fight, we wound up going 3/6 on winning. It isn't an impossible fight, but it is definitely a difficult one. Of course, I was also 71SAM at the time, so things might be better now.
All the melees need to come as /NIN so as to use shadows to absorb the dragon's AoE move. Other than that, we need some heavy hitting DDs in order to kill these things fast because I believe they become more and more resistant to sleep as the fight progresses.
Right now, based on what I am seeing here, it is looking like the setup would likely be:
Silverwolf: BRD/WHM - sleeper
Valhallodin: SAM/NIN - DD
Raizo: SMN/WHM - DD
Toasty (Saber Siravarde): BST/NIN - DD
Jglluamesh: RDM/BLM (or RDM/BLM) - Dispel/healing
Ikonic: MNK/NIN - tank/DD
Or I guess if we wanted to we could swap Raizo to WHM and Mesh to or NIN or something, I don't know, it depends on who wants to do what.
No matter what we do, we MUST have a good sleeper and we MUST have an excellent Dispeller (the Minstrel uses Thornsong which gives it spikes that does ~100 damage per hit).
More to come on this as I have more time to look into it.
Also, if more people are interested, please let me know. We can always make arrangement to run it in 2 different parties and such.

That should work, maybe a tad bit later as I have Assaults at 6pm CST, but that should be fine if we only do 3 assaults and start on time.

4/4 last night, only 2 deaths. Very big thank yous to Nessus, Rastan (and Zuesholmes who was nice enough to let Rast use his Galka), Warchild and Ikonic.
On the whole, things went very smoothly. Silver did a great job sleep/kiting the Dragonian Minstrel while we killed the Dragonian Berserker, and then we all polished off the Minstrel. Nessus did a wonderful job of keeping people uncursed (which happened a LOT) and keeping people alive. Rastan did a nice job on tanking, with some help from Ikonic who of course had to go and pull hate a lot. Me and Warchild just sort of wailed away the whole time having fun.
We had 2 deaths (both to Z) as a result of what is really nothing more than bad luck, which can happen quickly against these dragons. On the whole though everyone did a great job and this ran much more smoothly than it did the previous time we did it.
Our gil drops were not very good at all, but we did pull down 2 pairs of Destroyers, which went to Silverwolf (congrats Sil!) and myself (oh noes! Must I level MNK now?! T.T).
All in all a good time and a lot of fun, we should set up more of these, as I know Nessus and Boomhower are both interested in getting their Morgenstern or whatever it is called, and I know Toasty wants a Rampager or whatever it is called.
