Today's Goals

Figured I'd post my goals today to see if anyone is willing to help get them done.

1. Sleep. I can do this solo, but if any hot mithras want to join I'll make room.

2. Bastok Eco-Warrior. 5k gil and 500-1000 xp certainly won't hurt me.

3. Get last item for Brown Belt. I need to kill Nue for this. A lvl 50 can solo him, but possibly with difficulty. The more the merrier, maybe a farming pt.

4. Kill shadows for key. I need this for the tele-vahzel scroll. I'd really like to get this for my whm so when someone needs a tele I'll have it available. Plus it'll round out so i have all the tele's.

5. Kill some mobs in Sea Serpent Grotto. There is one item i'm looking for in particular. It's a lvl 46 rare/excl h2h weapon. From the stats I'd say it's the best for the lvl. I want it to be unique and 'cause i need the extra dmg to pull ahead. Other mobs are welcome to kill for extra loot. Again we can make a farming pt of it.

6. Farm or lvl. Once i get the 3 items i'd like to either farm to afford my 2 sniper's rings or lvl so that i can catch up and possibly get a lvl 55 LS static going.

7. Enjoy the game. Hopefully throughout all of these goals I can still take time to enjoy playing.

Well, that's my few goals for the day. If i can get them all done it will be an extremely awesome day, if i can get only one done, it will still be a good day.#nosmileys

heh. Thats too bad. My goals for the next few days are:

1. Get Genkei 3 done.
2. Gat my pimp hat I know all the Mithras will love me once I get it ^^
3. Complete rank 6.

I hope to have all this completed by Sunday(Oct 17).

I would really like to get 2 things done tonight. Finish rank mission 3-3 and finish the sam quest. I will be back on at 7 pm est tonight so if you can help me do this i would appreciate it.

my goal today after work is to get my pld outta the dunes!!! shouldnt be to hard he is lvl 18, so one more lvl or so, maybe 2... Then i can start up in qufim.......................................................................................................hurrah...

I would like to thank Hak, Qwen, Wills, and Timm for helping me try to get Nue. So far we have been unsuccessful, but these wonderful people have been the only ones to offer help.

I would like to let the rest of you know that at this point these 4 people are the only ones I'm willing to help. I feel that I have done a lot for this LS and get very little in return. While everyone else is lvl'ing to 50 and beyond I'm stuck back here trying to get a few items that I cannot solo. If this continues I may be finding a new LS. I'm sorry, but that's the way I feel.

Hmm. that makes me wonder.....just wat is the lv range in PiF? I know we got some higher ups, but how many? well then ya gotta factor in subs, and alt jobs....well Ike i asked bout Nue yesterday, and ya said that ya'd need 45+...i wonder how many are around that are that high and can help? and to all of us come on peeps a friend in need is a friend indeed and all that.....well anyway in the near future yas will have a bard high enough to help

higher ups.... hmm.. i'd say we have at least 10-20 lvl 50+ers in the LS. and lvl 40-50 maybe the same. we've enough mid lvls that as a pt or alliance we could take out most the things needed to take out for quests, lvl caps, rare/exc drops, and the like. if people would just be willing to help.

as for what lvl to help with Nue.... a lvl 50 can solo it, but with some difficulty. if there's one lvl 50 in the group the rest don't matter as much. Probably could bring lvl 40's easily enough. may not be able to do the most dmg to it as a lvl 40, but the support would help.... and as a brd the mp healing would rule... as well as hp.

I seem to remember helping you to get both Deadly Dodo and Yuhtunga Marble, but maybe I imagined all that. I also remember you not ever helping me with Rank 5 despite the fact that I had been asking to do that a lot longer than you'd been asking to kill Nue.

I remember you helping me to get my AF1, and I really appreciate that. But to call me out for not helping on Nue when I've already been busy doing other things, I think that's kind of shitty to be perfectly honest. I know how frustrated you are that you haven't been able to level your favorite job because you want to get some more equipment first, but I don't think that's a reason to call me out because I have been leveling mine.

I made it very clear I would be more than happy to help kill Nue, but I cannot simply leave a party because you're ready to go try.

I never called you out. You are imagining that much. As for helping with the marble and dodo, thank you. I haven't forgotten that much.

As for rank 5 if i remember correctly you went to do it about the time i had to go to work. When I did rank 5 there were quite a few who helped in Beadeaux, but only 2-4 who helped with davoi and castle oztroja. It ended up taking a lvl 70+ rng to help us get the item in castle oztroja because both sal and I died during that part (Timm was lucky enough to go unscathed). The rng raised us and then showed us the way to go.

Nue isn't the entire subject of this post. Helping is. There are many people in the LS who have received help (in one form or another), but who are doing little, if not anything, in return. I'm tired of the greedy nature of people and so am declining to help from this point forward unless I have either been helped by this person or have seen this person do enough helping of others.

Timm is one of the good example I'd like to show.... There has been days when I didn't have time for things or wasn't in the mood to do something, but because Timm asked I helped. He has been there to help me (and others) numerous times and I will try to always be there to help him for these reasons. (Thank you Timm.)

As for my helping... how many AF's, Advanced Jobs, subjob items, and information have I done/given? I've helped quite a few getting advanced jobs, doing teleports when i could have faster and cheaper just airshiped, giving information for quests/missions/events, trying to organize events to bring the ls together, starting this exact forum to help people get information and have a place to voice concerns, written guides on certain crafts and other items of interest? My main method of helping has been information, but don't discount all I've done otherwise.

I'm not saying I'm the "god" of helping, but I'm saying people are too lazy. Everyone wants everything handed to them. The items I would like help with are things I cannot solo. If i could, i would. These items are things I feel are required to do my job effectively. I'm not requesting help to go kill that NM that drops an uberly expensive item.... especially if i know nothing else about it. I'm not begging for every little bit of knowledge being given to me. I'm not asking for handouts. Just a little bit of help.

I'm tired.. and who knows.... maybe I'm done.

So since you guys can't help me get my AF hat, should I leave the LS? No! I will help you Ik if i'm not busy. Just let me know. And you know I will help anyone around here. Don't take your frustration on the ppl that didnt help you with Nue. And beyond that just calm down Ik.

Im sorry you feel that way Ikonic. I for one didnt even know you've been trying to kill this NM for very long? I check posts on here pretty routinely and I dont remember seeing a post asking for LS help? Maybe I missed it. I understand it must be frustrating to need something that you need help for and are unable to get it for awhile, but I feel most of the LS as a whole isnt to blame for this. I dont know if I could be of any help to you in doing this seeing my highest job is 40 BLM but if I can be of any use in completing this please let me know. I dont think anyone here wants you to leave the linkshell, but I dont think that other people, many of which are definately too low to help should feel bad because you havent been able to suceed in this. If you name a time and place that youd like to try and kill this thing I will do my best to be there. I am on vacation for work ALL next week and have a ton of time available so please let me know.

That goes for other people as well...if you need help with something, anything at all, please POST it on here...maybe there should be a seperate section for these postings...where LS members can post a sort of wishlist for help with things...and other people can offer to help if they are able. I would gladly help with anything I can, but the truth is often people dont speak up when they need help with something.
