How to camp the HNM's Cute Girl and Hot Chick:
Part one: Acquiring the claim
1) First get yourself a good camping location, while in theory camping spots like the mall might sound good, they usually don't work out unless you actually work there. You need to see the HNM's on a fairly regular basis to have any chance at getting the claim. Therefore, the camp spot of "work" is usually the best place, and "school" is also pretty good. If you have the job "customer service" or "sales representative" equipped, this will make work the ideal camping spot. Subbing these jobs with your main could work, but you will get better results if they are your main job.
2) Sometimes this HNM appears to spawn claimed, but it's really not. This is a known bug. Learn how to determine a real claimed HNM from one that is only pretend.
3) If the HNM spawns claimed, don't give up hope!! There is always a chance, unless the claimer has used the job ability "marriage". However, results have been poor getting the claim away from job ability "fiance". So it is very important that you determine the level of the claim. Also, the main job of the claimer plays an important part. If the job is "Big Hulking Brute" and is constantly using the weapon skills of "slap", "beat down", and "punch" you are much more likely to get the claim then from a "Mr. Nice Guy" job.
4) Using the job abilities of the "Mr. Nice Guy" job is highly recommended. Take it easy, don't rush it and the claim should go to you.
5) Giving the HNM your linkshell number doesn't always work. Be sure instead to get her number.
Part Two: Now that I have gotten the claim, what do I do??
1) Trading flowers, chocolates, or shiny pieces of jewlery to this HNM is recommended, and should increase the strength of your claim. This should help if someone else tries to exploit the bug that allows the claim to switch to them.
2) In no way is the /attack command ever recommended. Using this could scare the HNM away and land you a GM call.
3) Taking the HNM to the location of "movies", "restraunt", "amusement park", and "dance club" should also increase the strength of your claim, and should prevent someone voking it off of you.
4) Find things that interest and amuse the HNM and do that with her.
5) Whatever you do, let her think that she is in charge!! Pretending that you don't really want to control her life every single second of the day will actually have the opposite effect and cause less aggro in the long run.
Part three: My HNM was really the NM Bitch from Hell or Evil Woman in disguise
1) If this should prove to be the case, use of the job ability "Flee" is recommended. Placing a GM call has had poor results. In no way should you use the /attack command, however, as this will result in a GM call and land you in jail. If you have access to your two hour of "Perfect Dodge" you should definitely use it in this situation.
2) After getting a very FAR distance away from the NM (Zoning 3-4 zones away... this NM has been known to cross zones and continue to aggro on you), use of the job ability "dump" and "I never want to see you again" is recommended. Do not fall for the "Let's just be friends" job ability of the NM.
Part four: My HNM aggro'd on me and isn't allowing me to use my "Double thrust" weapon skill any more
1) Find out the reason for the aggro. If there is no valid reason, she could be the NM Bitch from Hell in disguise. See section 3 on how to deal with this situation.
2) Stay calm. Allow the HNM to vent the aggro. Admit that she is right, and you are wrong no matter what logic says.
3) Again, trading items is a good idea here. Just be sure the item isn't "crusty underwear", "smelly sock", or similar item. Double lose aggro points can be obtained if the HNM has a strong like for the item being traded. Again, research before this happens is your friend.
4) Sometimes taking the HNM to the locations mentioned in part 2 can also decrease aggro. Just be calm, and figure out what she wants the most in the situation.
Part five: Ok, I know I've landed a solid claim and I really want to keep the HNM around for a long time
1) Plan a special evening. Usually a very expensive culinarian guild location does the trick, but if you really want to impress her go all out. Be prepared to spend lots of gil.
2) Come prepared. Buy a ring!!
3) Use job ability "Marriage proposal". Best wishes!! :)
Part six: Well, I don't want to make a commitment, but I do like using my "Double thrust" weapon skill.
1) Continue doing what you have been doing should allow you to keep using the skill on a regular basis. Also in time, using it alot has been known to create skill ups!!
2) If the HNM pushes too hard for a commitment, and your Job ability "Avoidance" and "Procrastination" aren't working for you, you might have to use the /dump command.
3) You will most likely lose your claim if the behavior is continued. If this is not desired, see section 5.
I hope this guide helps you HNM campers out there, and if any other experienced campers feel they have more to add, feel free to do so!!
