Fishing will be 100000x easier with the following macro.
/wait 13
/fish
13 seconds is the base time to wait between casts. You may subtract one second for every rank (not level!) you increase in fishing.
Basically, every time you get the results of your last cast (Obtained: "fish", Lost your catch, etc.), fire this macro as soon as it becomes available. This will automatically count down the wait, and cast when it is over. As soon as it is fired, you then have 13 seconds to read some homework, check a forum, etc. You will also avoid those awful "You must wait longer..." messages.
Also, if you like to keep track of the moon phase and the time, you can put
/clock
at the start. I have a seperate macro for that, b/c I find seeing the moon and time info every cast clutters my box and makes it harder for me to follow LS conversations or other things that are going on. But if you really want to keep track of the conditions, that is a good way to do it.
