I guess it's time I post another guide. The guide is rather sparse as I didn't write much details for it at the time it was written. Most items that are not Ingots, Sheets, or Chains I ended up NPC'ing.

Ikonic's Guide to Goldsmithing (lvl 0-60)

0.0 > 2.4 Copper Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Copper Ore)

2.4 > 2.8 Bone Earring (Wind Crystal + 2 Bone Chip + Brass Ingot) This requires lvl 12 Bonecrafting. IIRC this was most likely a GP item in Bonecrafting or I was trying for the chance of a HQ since I had 60.0 Bonecrafting at the time.

2.8 > lvl 3.0 Copper Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Copper Ore)

3.0 > 3.2 Bilbo (Fire Crystal + Iron Ingot + Silver Ingot) This was a GP item for Smithing. It requires Smithing lvl 28.

3.2 > 8.9 Brass Ingot (Fire Crystal + Zinc Ore + 3 Copper Ore)

8.9 > 9.6 Brass Sheet (Fire Crystal + Brass Ingot)

9.6 > 13.8 Brass Hairpin (Wind Crystal + Brass Ingot) I used Advanced Synth Support and NPC'd most of the results.

13.8 > 13.9 Brass Ingot (Lightning Crystal + Brass Hairpin) I tried desynthing for skill and material return and found that it really just wasn't worth the time.

13.9 > 16.0 Brass Hairpin (Wind Crystal + Brass Ingot) I NPC'd all the results.

16.0 > 17.0 Silver Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Silver Ore)

17.0 > 18.1 Silver Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Silver Beastcoin)

18.1 > 20.0 Silver Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Silver Ore)

20.0 > 27.1 Silver Hairpin (Wind Crystal + Silver Ingot) I used Advanced Synth Support for the first part. I desynthed some of the Hairpins to save on cost of Ingots and NPC'd the rest.)

27.1 > 31.0 Hiraishin (Fire Crystal + Copper Ingot + Silver Ingot)

31.0 > 36.9 Mythril Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Mythril Beastcoin)

36.9 > 37.6 Mythril Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Mythril Ore)

37.6 > 40.0 Mythril Sheet (Fire Crystal + Mythril Ingot)

40.0 > 40.4 Silver Bangles (Fire Crystal + 3 Silver Ingot) Even using Advanced Synth Support I had way too many failures, but I needed to breach the gap somehow, even if at a loss of material cost. I NPC'd all the results.

40.4 > 42.2 Mythril Chain (Earth Crystal + 2 Mythril Ingot)

42.2 > 47.5 Silver Bangles (Fire Crystal + 3 Silver Ingot) I used Advanced Synth Support again, but this time it wasn't so bad and I had a lot fewer fails. I NPC'd all the results.

47.5 > 50.4 Gold Ingot (Fire Crystal + 4 Gold Beastcoin)

50.4 > 51.2 Gold Sheet (Fire Crystal + Gold Ingot)

51.2 > 51.3 Mythril Degen (Fire crystal + Iron Ingot + 2 Mythril Ingot) - GP item

51.3 > 51.4 Heater Shield (Earth Crystal + Kite Shield + 2 Mythril Sheet) - GP item

51.4 > 51.9 Gold Ingot (Fire Crystal + 6 Gold Nugget + Gold Ore)

51.9 > 52.4 Gold Earring (Wind Crystal + 2 Gold Ingot)

52.4 > 54.0 Gold Ingot (Fire Crystal + 6 Gold Nuggets + Gold Ore)

There's a newer synth you can throw in there in the 35-47 range:
Gold Dust - Wind Crystal + Copper Ingot + Brass Ingot

Huge level gap, but much cheaper than ingots, and you get a
chance to make profit if you use the synth below

Ive made quite a bit of gil from 48-52 with Gold beastcoins > gold ingots > gold thread (CC/GS). Even without the CCing selling the ingots would still equal profit.

If you go or plan on going past 60. Start gardening early. This helps immensely w/ plat nuggets, OREs and future recipes. Also farming the tree cuttings helps kill the cost. Mainly use clopedia for which pots and crystals to use.

Tree cutting + Light + Light =2-8 stacks of platinum nuggets per 10 pots

I started at 54 and plan to take it to 60 with nothin but profit.

6 nuggets + 1 ore equals Platinum ingot.
