i kinda wanted to lvl my whm, just for the experience, so i'd know what it was like. who knows, maybe i'd dig it. but the only thing close to a mage class i have to sub for it is drk. is blm a pretty much required sub at lower lvls? (i'd like to take it to 20, just go through the dunes with it.)

It really helps. 'Specially with you being Elvaan. The lack of MP will hurt you. Getting BLM to lvl 10 isn't that difficult. just get good gear and a nice big stick. Don't worry about casting too much as it's slow, but if you go around beating things to death you can move pretty fast.

Well i think it depends, for a whm, blm gives the best boost in mp, until u reach 20 or so, after that, smn is the real mp booster, but since u wont go past there blm is the best, and soloing BLM SUCKS SUPREME! i hated soloing that, my blm is still lvl 11, i should lvl it. But if u consider doing whm as a job past 20, id sub smn, or make sum your main with whm sub, now thats good mp
