Yeah.. if it's not one thing, it's another right? That's the how the game goes. Not only will it be difficult to get the Ninja class, getting enough fame to get the spells is a pain in the ass. I'm only stating it because I had no idea until I got to lvl 6 NIN and noticed I would indeed be needing Utsusemi soon. I thought it would just be a walk to Norg and done if I had the right quest item... no.. turns out I need high fame to even get the quest. Fame has never been a strong point for Toasty. >.< I'll be mining Zinc for a loooooong time. Ninja Vanish!

its not that bad, the necklaces are a rare drop unless u have TH, and u get gil for them as well, and u only need 200 for the quests. but to lower prices for items in shops, its is a retarded needed amount.
