Upon reaching level 40 all jobs get access to start their first AF quest, this first quest is required to be completed in order to unlock the upcoming AF body parts, which you’ll be able to continue venturing when you reach level 50.

Quest Name: A Craftman’s Work
Starting area: North Sand d’Oria
Quest Giver: Miaux (E-6)
Reward: Peregrine – Weapon (polearm) RARE/EXCLUSIVE LV 42 DRG - DMG: 61 DELAY: 492 DEX +1 VIT +1
To Start this quest talk to Miaux, she’s right outside the Smithing guild at Northern San D’Oria. She will ask you to bring an Altepa Polished Stone. To obtain this key item you must travel to Eastern Altepa Desert and locate the ?? at position H-8. Examining the ?? will make a Notorious Monster, Decurio I-III, appear. Before the fight you may want to kill the Anticans around to avoid links. Recommended party composition: 1) Full party of mid 40’s or 2) 4 low 50’s or 3) 1 level 60+ tank with 3-4 low 40’s or any similar combination. Upon defeating the Notorious Monster, immediately examine the ?? again to obtain the Altepa Polished Stone. Return to Northern San D’Oria and talk to Miaux*. A cut scene will follow and at the end she will reward you with your AF weapon, Peregrine. Note: Because the Altepa Polished Stone is a key item, you do not have to trade it just talk to the NPC Miaux to trigger the cut scene.
