(Quest and Coffers)

The next Artifact parts consist of an initial coffer-related quest, followed by two other coffers that reward you with the feet and body parts respectively. In order to get these last two the AF quest for drachen gauntlets must be activated.
Quest Name: Borghertz’s Dragon Hands
Starting area: Upper Jeuno
Quest Giver: Guslam
Reward: Drachen Finger Gauntlets – Hands RARE/EXCLUSIVE LV 56 DRG - DEF: 15 HP: 11 DEX +3 PARRYING SKILL +10 ENHANCES WYVERN’S ACCURACY
To start this quest you Must have completed AF1 and AF2. Go to the Armor Shop in Upper Jueno (Near the Chapel and in front of the Weapon shop), and talk to Guslam, he’ll tell you about a great armorer, known as Borghertz, that once created great gauntlets. Guslam will then send you to the Boyahda Tree to find some long lost gauntlets. To do so you must first obtain a Boyahda Coffer Key, which drops from Bark Spiders, Robber Crabs, Knight Crawlers, Death Caps, Moss Eater, and Mourioche. I’d recommend you get it from either Spiders, Crabs or Crawlers, you’ll have to fight these mobs anyways around levels 55-58 while you’re leveling (The other mobs could give you a hard time and would take longer to kill). Upon obtaining coffer key, locate the coffer and open it to obtain “some old gauntlets”. Return to Guslam, and he will tell that he can’t fix the gauntlets. Then you must go talk to Deadly Minnow within the shop, he in turn will tell you to seek help from a Mithra within the Tenshodo Headquarters. Now head to Lower Jeuno and locate NPC Yin Pocanakhu. She will tell you about the location of an old tool box, but she will first charge you 1,000 gil for the information. She’d then tell you, you can just have it. Head to the Duty-Free Shop located in Port Jeuno, located down the way like going to the chocobo stables, behind it past the Auction House Attendants, right outside the Duty-Free Shop you’ll find a toolbox with a
, examine it to trigger a cut scene. Borghertz will then tell you to go get Shadow Flame, and leave it inside the box with the gauntlets. To obtain the key item you must head to Zvahl Castle Bailey and examine one of the 4 torches located at F-8 to make the Dark Spark appear. ::~~>All AF gloves require this key item as well, so just try to join a party that is going to get it. You can usually find people yelling in Jeuno that they’re looking for people. Once at the torches make sure the whole party agrees on ONLY one person touching the torch and after the fight immediately touch that same torch. My party agreed to choose the torch at the far left. Also make sure you clear the path by killing all demons in the area.<~~
::Recommended party composition: Full party of level 55+ *Note: In order to access the Tenshodo Headquarters you need to be a member, for which you need a Tenshodo Invite. If you are Rank 5 you know you went through this, if you’re not a member and are rank 4 and below, you can buy a Tenshodo Invite from the Auction House.
