The Good, The Bad, and The Holy Shiat I Died!

The Good
Well last night Ik and I went to go farm Orcs's in Davoi. It would have seemed that the two of us (a kick ass Monk and a bastard of a Dragoon) would have no trouble in the early stages of Davoi. An so in the beginng it was easy. Ik giving out free knuckle sandwiches to the Orcs's and I making Orcs's shish-kabobs. Having never party'd with Ik I was very impressed at his monk prowess.
The Bad
Well not having a mage made the down time extensive. As well we were not getting any drops, or good drops lizard armour sucks the n00b gonads. Plus I think that both of us were not quite sure of how far we could go in and still be ok. Well we eventually decided to hunt NM's at the same time. We looked for one no luck, decided to go deeper. We eventually made it to where Gnadnat Poison Hand (lvl 40 mnk) spawns, again no luck. So we decided to rest when I noticed an orc off in the distance, thought it was just a Brawler or Night Raider. Nope it was Gnadnat Poison Hand (lvl 40 mnk). We were both down about 100-200 hp but hey he is only lvl 40 pffft we could take him laughing............
The Holy Shiat I Died!
Well we kinda stumpled into the fight, me thinking this is going to be cake and wondering what drop we will get. I think Ik was a bit more prepared for what was in store. Well excuses are for Hozer's. So I was doing good damage so was Ik, problem was so was he (Wills def 196, att 244 base). Then the bastard 2hr's, well that was all Wills wrote down I go. The lvl 40 monk Orc beat me down like I was playing Mike Tysons Punch Out with one finger. So Ik 2hr's and its Rocky vs Mr T. They were going punch for punch kinda cool to watch. Unfortunetly the lvl 40 orc out lasted Ik. So there we both were grabbing a tan in Davoi when a vulture hozer swoops in and kills him in like 4 hits.
Resolution
I hope Ik is as anxious for revenge as I am. If we had one more pty member it would have been easy. So hopefully next time we go in we will go fully loaded with LS pty members.
