Nice Pictures of the Spring-Summer time in Korea. I've been there in Winter time 2003 for skiing. The scene in my memory is "white-only" becuase most places were covered by snow...... Since ancient China and Korea had a strong liaison, their culture, aesthetics and architecture were nearly the same. If taking a look to the ancient Chinese houses, you will see such similar buildings in Star's pictures. According to Traditional Chinese Culture, the color of the roof, top of the building, is equal to the social status of the occupants. "Yellow" can only be used by emperor and his relatives, so you will see the roof of the ancient palace in Beijing is yellow. "Green" is for general or public. "Blue" is for temple, not for "hume". Kimchi is quite delicious. Personally, I prefer the one in right-bottom. www.kimchi.or.kr/ By the way, Star, you can use chopsticks Star, you are cursed when sitting on the turtle lol j/k. Those characters should be chinese because I can read them. It should be a marker for somebody who did some achievement. Ancient chinese is very superstitious. They believe the god has 4 guards. Those 4 guards are not human-like looking but animal-like. They protect the god in 4 directions. front=Pheonix/bird, back=Turtle, left=dragon/wyvern, right=tiger. It is exactly as same as HNMs in sky. e.g. Genbu=Turtle I 've been to Xian, the capital of some ancient dynasty, in China. Except the famous "Ancient Warrior", there is a place called "The Forest of Steles" and full of such similar statue. sorry for my long boring words
